I have fought through so many health battles in my life, and somehow, no matter how hard things became, I always found the strength to keep going. I learned to survive pain, sleepless nights, medications, fear, and endless hospital walls. But this completely breaks me.
Seeing a young child lying helplessly in a hospital bed, being fed through tubes, unable to stand, unable to speak, unable to even express the pain they carry inside it destroys something deep within my heart. The sight alone drains every bit of strength left in me.
A child is supposed to run freely, laugh loudly, make silly mistakes, and dream innocently about tomorrow. They are supposed to live, not suffer. Watching such a small soul trapped inside so much pain feels unbearably cruel and unfair. Sometimes I look into their eyes and wonder how someone so little can carry such a heavy battle.
And now, I find myself back in a hospital bed again, fighting several conditions that are not even controllable. Fighting battles inside my own body while witnessing innocent children fighting theirs too. Some days it feels like my heart can no longer carry the weight of it all.
No matter how strong I try to be, seeing a child suffer in ways they never deserved leaves me emotionally shattered. Some wounds are not physical. Some pain settles deep into the soul and stays there forever.
Praying for you baby Jayden
Hope to see you soon again
