When God called you for his purpose, He gave you free will to execute the mandate thereof.
If in your free will, you did not fully satisfy the mandate's conditions.
The best you are expected to do is, within your free will, mentor those around you.
Mentor through your character, Through consistency, Through being considerate,Through competence and complete honesty.

Note that the God who anointsis not short of individuals and strategies to belabour you with who is to succeed you.

Your anointing is to carry on the mandate revealed to you not to anoint your successor.

Whoever you might have thought was humanly competent may turn out to be Godly unchosen.
Strain not.

For in your absence, God's course for humanity will be fulfilled in his time.
In his strategies and his purpose.Moreover, one's vision cannot be genetically transmitted.

Your successor must also get his or her revelation or interpretation of the work in his or her own peculiar way.

No other way.
