📢 Pwani University Hosts Stakeholder Engagement on Draft Universities (General) Regulations, 2026

Recently, Prof. James H.P. Kahindi, PhD, Vice Chancellor of Pwani University, joined members of the University Management, staff, stakeholders, and representatives from the Commission for University Education (CUE) during the public consultation and submission of memoranda on the Draft Universities (General) Regulations, 2026.

In line with Article 10 of the Constitution of Kenya (2010), Section 70 of the Universities Act, and Sections 5, 6, and 7 of the Statutory Instruments Act (Cap. 2A), the Commission invited stakeholders to share their comments, views, and input on the proposed Regulations and the accompanying Regulatory Impact Statement.

This important stakeholder engagement exercise was proudly hosted at Pwani University, reaffirming our commitment to inclusive governance, transparency, and the advancement of higher education in Kenya.
