There is always something magical that happens when our students participate and compete in sports - be it in the field for hockey or football, on the track for athletics, in the pool for swimming, or on the court for netball or basketball.

Beyond the celebrations at the end of every event, sport has provide our students with some of life’s most valuable lessons. Teaching on sportsmanship - the grace to respect teammates, opponents, officials, and the game itself. Has allowed them to nurture dedication - the commitment to show up, train consistently, and work towards improvement every day while building diligence - the discipline to keep going, even when the journey is demanding.

We are proud of every student who steps forward to represent the school, not only for their achievements but for the character they demonstrate along the way. Their effort, resilience, and humility remind us that success is measured not only by results, but by the values we uphold in pursuit of them.

Our OG basketballers travelled to Mombasa this weekend to compete in a 3on3 competition. It was a challenging experience for our team, who have never competed before, but they really showed up - not just to the competition but every early training session and lunch time practice. Congratulations and a huge thanks to .ke for the amazing jerseys.

One of the most meaningful traditions we have here at Kivukoni is that every new teacher, new parent, new student, plants a tree in our Wangari Maathai Indigenous Tree forest.

This tradition benefits our natural ecosystem, which continues to thrive and grow since the first trees planted all those years ago. It also benefits our community, who become a part of the land and Kivukoni with one single action. It’s a powerful reminder of the interconnectedness of us all, and how intentional choices - like leading with community and care - can literally shape the world around us.

It feels very special this year as we welcome our HeadTeacher Vanessa - who gamely got stuck in and planted her own tree alongside helping many others

What a performance! What an experience!
‘KESHO AMAHORO,' a stirring musical set in Refugee camps during the Rwandan civil war, was a story of the active hope and resilience of children in the face of imposed chaos and the devastation of war.

A tough tale to tell- but done with amazing energy, talent, passion, and even humour - by all 60 of the young cast, and musicians. Being a Youth Theatre Kenya collaboration, the direction was bold and creative - physical theatre at its best. The performers were on spot throughout, and the atmosphere was electric. So many to thank for this experience- not least all the talented performers themselves. Makena, Lali, and Gabriel all brought us to tears, whilst Ian, Nia and Rashid and more had us all on the edge of our seats. Their performances were incredible; Watch this space ! 💫✨

With 3 whole year groups working on this together, they experienced the rewards of patience, hard work and meaningful collaboration- creating memories that will last a lifetime time.
The deep dive into the concept of displaced families comes at a particularly poignant time, and we only wish we could share the story with more!
