2019 kids can cook class. It was awesome and fun. Learning different things.
Fundamentally, the ability to cook is a life skill that helps kids grow into responsible adults, & we advocate for cooking to be compulsory for all kids.

This was supposed to be our last day of the season @ Kids can Cook! But even after an amazing day of cooking with sausage rolls, onion Bhajias, potato Bhajias, cinnamon rolls and our grand finale... piece de resistance... a huge vanilla and chocolate cake... our little chef's are demanding we continue for yet another week!!!
Warms my heart to hear they love it so much they don't wanna stop!!!๐
So to commemorate the pseudo grand finale of the season our little angels also paid a visit to the police station and planted a fruit tree๐ณ that they hope the officers will enjoy for many years to come.

This is the final week of Kids can Cook! It has been an amazing journey!
Tuesday we made spring rolls and the kids enjoyed every bite of them ... that's for sure๐
Thursday we made hot dog buns with lots of different toppings that the kids then created their own versions of the perfect hot dog! Was lots of fun. In addition we also made kebabs that melted in your mouth... they were so good๐๐
Friday... tomorrow is our grand finale... our little chef's will make Bhajias with sausage rolls! Not to mention we will culminate it all with the kids planting trees... l know it will be great!๐
This week at Kids Can Cook was yet another roller coaster of activity...
Day 1 we made yummy Tea Scones with Raisins and Sweet Buns that simply melted in your mouth...๐
Day 2 we made Scotch Eggs and Doughnuts... can you say delish!๐ฅฐ
Day 3 we made dhania chapatis and Mukimo... but the high light of our day was that we did it using three stones!! The kids got down and dirty today. From looking for nice stones and collecting kindling and firewood to cooking the Mukimo on the fire... bet they will not forget this day soon๐โค๏ธ
All in all it was a really good week and we cant wait for next week when we will explore, create and dive into a new culinary world of experience! Join us!!

Kids Can Cook! Day 6!
Today was Pizza day. Starting with dough making to pizza eating! Yummy Fun, fun fun!
Though the highlight of the day was when we got a visit from our friendly OCPD... not only did he join our little chefs and helped them make their pizzas but he also spent time answering their questions about what our cops do in our communities.
It was a totally awesome day!

Today we made two types of Fish fingers - a tangy version and a golden crispy version! Who would have guessed fish had fingers? And of course what better to complement them than some good old fashioned hand peeled chips! Though a lot of work, the end result was worth it as our little chefs dug in and enjoyed their fish and chips today. Cant wait to make pizza tomorrow!
