Step-by-Step Application Guide
Access the Portal: Open the KUCCPS Student Portal.
Login: Enter your index number, KCSE year, and password.
Explore Programs: Select the "Institutions" or "All Programs" tab to browse, filtering by degree, diploma, or certificate based on your grades.
Add to Basket: Add desired courses to your selection basket, ensuring you meet minimum requirements, which the system validates.
Submit Choices: Go to the "Application/Revision" tab. Enter the programme codes in order of preference.
Payment: Pay the application fee (e.g., Ksh 1,500 for diplomas) via M-Pesa.
Confirm: Enter the M-Pesa transaction reference number to submit your application.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2026 COMMENCEMENT UPDATE

Following the end of the Christmas and New Year festivities, basic education institutions are shortly set to commence the 2026 Academic Year. This statement highlights the following key issues as we embark on the new Academic Year:

(a) Re-opening for Term One, 2026
All basic education schools are expected to re-open for the new term on Monday, 5th January, 2026. The Ministry’s field officers, under the guidance of the Regional Directors of Education and the County Directors of Education, will monitor adherence to the academic calendar as schools re-open.

(b) Placements for Grade 10 of Senior School
The first revision of placements to Grade 10 of Senior School was completed on 29th December, 2025. Joining instructions for learners already placed have been accessible on the placement portal (www.placement.education.go.ke) effective 30th December, 2025.

As earlier indicated, interested learners will have a further opportunity to apply for review of their placement from 6th January, 2026, to 9th January, 2026. The revision will provide parents, guardians and learners the opportunity to provide legitimate and verifiable grounds to justify a reconsideration of the initial or revised placement.

In order to ensure unhindered access to education and enhance optimal utilization of available resources while addressing genuine outstanding placement needs, requests for further review may be initiated through the learner’s Junior School or at the Senior School of interest. The requests shall be submitted by the Head of Institution through the placement portal and duly processed in accordance with the protocols that have already been issued by the Ministry.

SCHOOL ADMISSION NOTICE:
In line with the Ministry of Education directives, St. John’s Senior School – Keringet is fully prepared and ready to welcome learners admitted to Grade 10 for the 2026 Academic Year.

The school offers all approved Senior School pathways, admits both boys and girls, and operates as a hybrid institution, providing Day and Boarding options.

The school is located 1.2 km from Keringet Town and 200 metres off the Keringet–Olenguruone Highway, making it easily accessible.

Parents and guardians who may be unable to visit the school physically due to distance are encouraged to call or send an SMS to 0726 743 021 to request dispatch of admission letters via WhatsApp or email.

Now that the Senior School placement results are out, St. John’s Senior School – Keringet is ready to welcome learners for admission into various subject combinations under the three pathways: STEM, Social Sciences, and Arts & Sports.

We also have vacancies in Playgroup, PP1, PP2, Grade 1- 3, Form 3 & Form 4.

Admission letters are ready for collection in preparation for reporting on 12/01/2026.
