ALWAYS GO BACK AND CHECK YOURSELF !!!

One of the ways you can improve your skill as a vocalist or a lead singer is to go back and look at your ministration...

It helps alooot .. THOUGH ITS EMBARRASSING 😄😅

Because some mistakes we keep doing them because we've never watched ourselves on stage and no one has ever told us, or we've been told but we haven't taken them seriously.

But if you watch your self ... you will start working on how to improve on your next ministration.

Those are things that you only notice when you see yourself

Things to check...

-How was your communication with the BGVs and the Band ?

-How was the dancing?

-How was your interaction with the congregation?

-How was your voice?

-How was your posture ?

And many more

So don't fear, if your church has a YouTube channel, get to that YouTube channel and check what you did during the service.

WHAT TO DO DURING COLD SEASON AS VOCALIST .

1) Stay hydrated.
2) Stay warm- warm water/tea, keep body warm.
3) Shout less.
4) Even send talk less.
5) Remember to warm up before you sing(I have special ones)
6) Make warm up daily.
7) Take vit C regularly.
8) Reduce intake of oils around.
9) Always engage head voice/mask.
10) Try intermittent steam inhalation

DEAR MUSIC DIRECTOR ASK FOR HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT !!!!

Most of MDs refuse to ask for help from their team members due to fear of insecurities.

You need to understand you cannot know everything! And this ministry is not one man show .

So when something is beyond your experience please, ask for help.

It takes a mixture of different components to build a strong praise and worship team.

SOME FACIAL EXERCISE FOR YOU THIS WEEKEND.

Have you ever try facial exercise during your rehearsals?

Here are a few facial exercises that will help your face become more elasticized to allow you to make extreme expressions while singing without feeling stretched.

1. Look up at your ceiling or the sky and pretend you are kissing the sun ...do this repeatedly.

2. Smile the widest you can and hold it for a while( like 20 secs)

3. It's either you puff your cheeks with air or fill it with water and hold it for about 30secs.

These exercises are extremely weird, so I would advise you to perform them privately before they call for a meeting with a psychiatrist on your behalf.
