Greetings people, there is a lot rainfall in Kakuma n Turkana generally. My concern is that pliz make sure your children n younger siblings don't move in or along the flowing streams.. Indoors and within the community is the best place to stay during such rainy season. Kakuma 1 previously had cases of children who went to collect firewood in the flowing stream unfortunately they were swept away by the water.. Even adults should be careful because there are cases of people who try to forcefully cross a fully flowing stream just to go home on time. Take care on that, you can not force death on yourself if it doesn't want you. Pass this message to others in your community. Thank you.

Though I didn't attend the recent inter school cultural competition, I heard KRSS did well. Thump Up Kakuma. We want to see more great things from the school. Members who attended should post the photos from the event.

Greetings to KRSS fraternity. I wish you Happy World Refugee Day. It is time to remember all those have suffered crossing the international borders n seas to seek peace. Kakuma is a home to many refugees who desperately live to see their nations have peace again. May this year bring peace n love in the homes of every refugee. Thank you

The schools in the camp are facing a real crisis which has never taken place before. It's unfortunate that the issue has escalated to attack on students who choose to study instead of going to strike as others. Though I'm far from the camp now, I heard there were attacks in the school which led to injuries to students and teachers. The police has also taken to the communities nearby the schools and have indiscriminately beaten up people forcing young men to flee their homes to other parts of the camp. We hope things will come back to normal soon.
