Progress looks different for every child. 💛

Some children need a little more time. Some need a different approach. Some simply need to be understood.

A seven-year-old boy suddenly refused to wear his favorite red sneakers.

He cried. He kicked them off. He became deeply distressed.

To everyone around him, it looked like a tantrum.

Later, his mother discovered that the inner lining of one shoe had torn, exposing a small rough edge.

For many of us, that might feel like a minor irritation

For him, it wqs overwhelming.

What we see first is ofyen the behaviour, not the experience behind it

A child covering their ears,
refusing clothes,
avoiding eye contact,
melting down during transitions.

Sometimes the behaviour we see is not the whole story.
Sometimes, theres a torn lining in the shoe that we cannot see.
