On behalf of the Vice Chancellor and the Management of the University, I would like to invite you to a UoN Prayer Day on Friday, 20 January 2022 in Taifa Hall at 9.00am.
The Vice Chancellor will lead the staff and students in prayers and thanksgivings to God. Since Covid 19, the Universities in Kenya have undergone very difficult times; financially, socially and psychologically but the Hand of God has sustained this university during this difficult moment.
As University we have all the reasons to give thanks to God as we seek Him to bequeath His blessings upon us this New Year 2023.
We'll also pray for our students as they start their exams next week. Please be seated in Taifa Hall by 8.30am.

The University of Nairobi will host the celebration of the 2022 International Day of Persons with Disability (IDPWD) on Friday November 2, December, 2022 at the Hyslop Parking and in Taifa Hall from 8.30am.



The theme for the 2022 celebrations is: “Holistic participation of Persons with Disabilities in higher learning institutions towards a more inclusive, accessible and sustainable world”



The event will be an inter-university forum on disability awareness whereby persons with disabilities within the University Community, Universities within Nairobi and Corporates/industry partners will grace the occasion. The following activities will take place;



§ Band Procession from Main Campus to Graduation Square

§ Adaptive Sports – Wheelchair Basketball and Para- chess games (for blind and persons with physical disabilities) played by Kenyatta University and University of Nairobi Male and Female Students.

§ Panel Discussion on “Universities and Industries as catalysts for the realization of 5% employment opportunities for Persons with disabilities”

§ Registration of Persons with disabilities by NCPWD

§ Showcase of Talents
