The Honey harvest last night involved some of our Year 8 pupils, and results in 37kg of honey!! π― Yum! They got kitted up after supper and headed out with jobs - the smoked, the brusher, the harvested and the torch holder. There were one or two stings but overall a pain free experience with lots of delicious honey to enjoy afterwards!! π Our honey is used in school for sweet treats like pancakes π₯ at breakfast time. Thank you bees!! π π π We appreciate the honey so much!

We were all thrilled to welcome the maiden voyage of the passenger train π in true Pembroke House fashion! As we waited we πΆ sang hymns and the school song, and as the train came around the corner we were singing Kenyaβs National Anthem. π°πͺ What a happy time with this iconic part of Pembrokeβs history coming alive once again! The Coulson Rendeavour Rugby Cup π was played at Pembroke this weekend - a great warm up to our famous tournament taking place on 20th June, at Pembroke.
This is a very nice opportunity for Pembroke to play against Shamas, a grassroots rugby initiative that is supported by Tatu City and Mr Coulson. Thank you to all participants for coming to Pembroke House for the event and to all spectators for your support and enthusiasm. β¨

At Pembroke, we embrace all the ways of learning, and we celebrate all kinds of brains - the natural academics who can be stretched and challenged, the more practical learners who understand ratios when mixing cement, the dramatic types who can memorize an entire script, the sporty ones who canβt wait to get onto the games fieldsβ¦. And everything in between. Then we help every child try everything - because in trying one is often surprised at what is possible!

Did you know we have a Pre-Prep? π
And that whilst itβs part of Pembroke, itβs also designed to nurture the kind of wonder and curiosity that little minds from 6 months to 5 years needβ¦ in fact soon our Pre-Prep will move to its own little campus in our Forestry area π³ where our little people can explore wildly and learn in nature. Weβre so excited about this and invite you to come and see the new Pre-Prep any time that suits you!

β¨ Weβve been providing boarding for nearly 100 years! And whilst we know it can be a tricky concept for some, weβve seen how it can have a remarkable impact π on a childβs confidence, independence, and readiness for life.
At Pembroke we see children who arrive a little unsure of themselves, and then flourish and leave more confident, more capable, and more ready to embrace whatever comes next. π That self-belief is built in the small moments, managing their own time, living kindly alongside others, solving little problems, and learning that they are part of something bigger than themselves. π¦
Our pastoral team supports the rest of our staff with the highest level of care for the children at Pembroke. And being a small school means we understand each child deeply and know how to help them thrive and grow.
Resilience, compassion, integrity. β¨ These qualities matter hugely at Pembroke, and boarding helps children grow into them in the most natural way.
