Today we remember the late Prof. George Magoha, the no-nonsense scholar and surgeon, who left a lasting mark on higher education in Kenya.

From his tenure as VC at the great University of Nairobi to his time as Cabinet Secretary for Education, he directly shaped the growth, discipline, and quality of the country’s education system.

In his honor, University of Embu named its state-of-the-art library the Prof. George Magoha Library — making it the first public university facility named after the fallen education reformer.
