𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐮 𝐓𝐕𝐄𝐓 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬

The University of Embu (UoEm), in partnership with the M-Pesa Foundation, invites applications for scholarships to pursue Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes at the University of Embu TVET Institute.

These programmes focus on equipping young people with market-driven skills, enhancing their employability, and preparing them for the world of work.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly stipend for the period of study and basic tools of trade upon graduation. The programmes shall commence in July, 2026. Underprivileged youth from humble economic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Be a Kenyan citizen
2. Be aged 15 to 30 years
3. Have minimum admission requirements for the programme of interest

The University of Embu hosted Five Hundred and Thirty-Five (535) high school students during an academic mentorship and educational visit aimed at inspiring academic excellence and career growth.

The students were drawn from Kariru Secondary School, Our Lady of Mercy Girls School – Magundu, Muragara Secondary School, Ichagaki Mixed Secondary School, Kajiampau Secondary School, among other institutions.

During the visit, the students were taken through comprehensive career mentorship sessions, motivational talks, and guidance on academic success by facilitators and lecturers from the University. The sessions focused on helping learners make informed career choices, develop a winning mindset, and embrace discipline and hard work in their academic journey.

The University continues to position itself as a centre of academic mentorship and community engagement by opening its doors every Friday to schools that request educational and mentorship visits.

At the University of Embu, we believe that mentorship, exposure, and guidance are key pillars in in enhancing students’ success in their academic and professional journey.
