Her name is Rose.

Across Africa, countless girls like Rose are denied the education they need to fulfill their amazing potential. In most of these cases, poverty is the biggest obstacle.

For her part, Rose is willing to travel a great distance to and from her school, read well into the night by only a Lantern and help others in study groups. Fortunately, she’s not alone. PELO and its supporters are doing our part to such girls who need help to go to school. With financial assistance for books, school and exam fees, uniforms and shoes – together with support and encouragement from her family and community – Rose is able to learn without fear and dream without bounds. Still, many more girls are waiting.

Help us observe this year’s International Day of the Girl on October 11th by making a gift to support Rose and the many other girls who are ready to work hard for their education, donate generously to honor an inspiring girl or woman in your life.
