The Director of the East African School of Aviation (EASA), 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗪𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗶, officially presented the 𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗢 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗜𝗥 𝗣𝗟𝗨𝗦 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 to the Ag. Director General of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), 𝗠𝗿. 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗱𝗼, in recognition of EASA’s achievement as the institution that trained the 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗢 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗢 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 (𝗘𝗦𝗔𝗙) 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the Registrar, Academic Services, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗶, and the Assistant Director, Instructional Systems Design, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗢𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶, who joined EASA and KCAA leadership in celebrating this significant milestone.

This recognition reflects the unwavering support of KCAA, the dedication of EASA’s management and staff, and the institution’s strategic role as a leading aviation training centre in Africa.

The programme has brought together participants from Burundi, Uganda, Mozambique, South Sudan, and Kenya, reflecting regional collaboration in strengthening competencies in air cargo and mail operations.

The training focuses on enhancing participants’ understanding of ICAO standards and recommended practices related to the secure, safe, and efficient handling of air cargo and mail. The course also addresses regulatory requirements, supply chain security, risk management, and best practices that support global aviation operations.

The East African School of Aviation (EASA) participated in the Kiharu Masomo Bora Programme held in Kiharu Constituency, Murang’a County, providing career guidance and mentorship to thousands of learners under the theme “Self-Awareness as the Bedrock for Career Choice.”

The EASA Marketing Team engaged learners during sessions held at Mugoiri Day Secondary School, Kahuro Sub-County, on 4th June 2026 and Maragi Day Secondary School, Murang’a East Sub-County, on 5th June 2026, reaching approximately 9,000 learners from across the constituency.

The outreach provided an excellent platform to inspire young learners, promote informed career choices, and create awareness of the diverse opportunities available within the aviation industry.

EASA remains committed to nurturing the next generation of aviation professionals through strategic outreach programmes that strengthen career awareness, educational opportunities, and access to quality aviation training.

The East African School of Aviation (EASA) joined the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) Sustainability Committee, the Embakasi East Environment Team, and the Green Army in commemorating World Environment Day 2026 under the theme:

“Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”

The event was graced by the Director of EASA, Dr. Serah Waitiki, who led staff and students in activities aimed at promoting environmental conservation and sustainability.

The celebration brought together staff, students, partners, and members of the neighbouring community in a shared commitment to environmental stewardship. Activities undertaken during the day included tree planting and the EASA/Kabansora clean-up exercise, aimed at promoting a cleaner environment, enhancing green spaces, and fostering responsible environmental practices.

Participants also took part in sensitization sessions on hazardous waste management, reinforcing the importance of collective action in protecting the environment and addressing climate change.

EASA remains committed to supporting environmental sustainability initiatives and contributing to global efforts towards climate action, ecosystem restoration, and the creation of a greener future for generations to come.
