Kipkabus Technical and Vocational College held its new term prayers, orientation, and modularization sensitization programme on 22nd January 2026. The new and continuing trainees were sensitized to the curriculum structure, assessments, Portfolio of Evidence, Industrial attachment, dual training, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), and other critical aspects of the modularized CBET curriculum. We were also privileged to host Rev. Joel Gabriel Koech, who is a gifted motivational speaker, and delivered a powerful, fiery, dramatic, and inspiring sermon, urging the trainees to focus on their education and avoid destruction that might derail their journey of education.
We wish all our trainees a prosperous term as they work hard to achieve their education milestones

On 31st October, 2025, our trainees from the Mechanical and Automotive Department, led by Mr Rop, and the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, led by Mrs Faith, attended a CBET practical enhancement session at the New KCC in Eldoret. The trainees gained valuable hands-on experience in different aspects of milk processing, such as:
-installation of hydraulics, pneumatics,
-hydraulic pumps and their operation,
-types of compressors
-maintenance of motors
-flow process of milk from reception, processing, sterilization, aseptic processing and storage of milk, packaging, sorting, and dispatch
Industry partnerships are a crucial component of Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET), serving to bridge the gap between training and job-ready skills required by employers. These collaborations ensure that training programs are relevant, demand-driven, and aligned with current and future labor market needs.
