University of Eldoret is honoured to host the 10th International Conference of the U6+ Consortium of African Universities, taking place at our Main Campus from 7th–11th September 2026.

Under the theme “Africa and the Fifth Industrial Revolution (5IR): Inclusive Innovation, Indigenous and Citizen Science for Sustainable Transformation,” this flagship event brings together Vice-Chancellors, scholars, researchers, policymakers and industry leaders from 11 member universities across Africa — including institutions from Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, and The Gambia.

Delegates will engage across eight subthemes spanning agriculture, health, education, technology, entrepreneurship, climate action and governance — exploring how Africa can harness emerging technologies and indigenous knowledge systems to drive inclusive, sustainable transformation.

The week also features the African Student Leaders Workshop and a Postgraduate Training Workshop, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing the next generation of African researchers and leaders.

On Friday, 24/7/2026, University of Eldoret signed an MoU with the County Government of Uasin Gishu — a partnership built to bring real change closer to home. Together, we’re strengthening agricultural value chains and food security, advancing healthcare and education, supporting the county’s Smart City agenda, and growing opportunities in innovation and entrepreneurship.

The partnership also opens doors to grow chiropractic training at UoE, expanding quality healthcare education for the region. 🩺

This is knowledge translated into action — empowering communities, improving service delivery, and building a more sustainable future for Uasin Gishu and beyond. 🤝
