MARCH 2026 NEWSLETTER

GREETINGS
Greetings to you all dear friends from us all here at Neema. How have you all been? As the year progresses, may you all find joy and happiness in the Lord our God. May you all enjoy good health this year.

NEEMA CHILDREN’S HOME
Neema children are doing well. The first school term has come to an end and therefore we pray for a blessed and peaceful time with them. Some in High School and College have already arrived the rest will arrive this week.
As we celebrate the goodness and faithfulness of God in our lives and the lives of Neema children and support staff, we celebrate the graduation of Brian who has Certificate in Theology. He is now Pastor Brian!
The little boy we took in now a Pastor, God is good indeed. He will continue with studies for Diploma in Theology from May this year. Please pray for God’s provision and guidance.

(picture 1: with Pastor Brian the day of graduation.)

This young man, as all of our children is a success story. God has really been good to him. This far it has been the grace of God. Thank you for upholding these children in prayer. We truly are thankful and appreciative of your concern prayers and encouragement. Each child in Neema is a success story by the grace of God. You are part of this story, God bless you.

(picture 2: Family joy as we celebrated our very own pastor's graduation)

Also, Johnston who is now a Registered Nurse will be graduating in August this year, another opportunity to rejoice and to be glad as we thank God for His goodness unto our children. Other College and University students are doing well and, as expected, more graduations in the coming years. This far the Lord has brought us and so we praise His holy name.

(picture 3: Neema support staff celebrating Pastor Brian’s success)

Kevin, who has been home for nearly two years, is now ready to join National Youth Service with the aim of later joining Kenya Army. Please pray that he will adapt to the new and drastic change. He is positive and psychologically ready. He has all along been very helpful and committed to going the extra mile as far as house chores are concerned, very disciplined and focused.
In the book of 1 Samuel 12:7, we read, "Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, "Thus far has the Lord helped us." It has taken the hand of the Lord to sustain these children who you pray for and support, thank you. We have this testimony that “This far it is the Lord.”
As we see those who were babies not long ago complete training, our hearts are full of praise and thanks to God for His faithfulness and grace, and it reminds us of God’s good and wonderful plans for each one of these children.
In an earlier newsletter, we wrote this verse, 1 Samuel 12:16-18 "Now then, stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your eyes! … I will call upon the Lord to send thunder and rain. … Then Samuel called upon the Lord, … So all the people stood in awe of the Lord.” In our case here at Neema, we have a testimony of the doing of the Lord. God has truly been our help and shepherd. The improved health of the children is as a result of your prayers, thank you. Their social life has also improved, there is significant emotional connection and fellowship amongst the children, God is good indeed.

NEEMA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
What manner of God are you oh God! The magnificent building has finally taken shape. It is finally ready for use. The new classroom block has six classrooms. By the time schools open on 28/4/26, we will have decided which grade will occupy which room. Once again, thank you for your contributions towards this building, we have thanked you before and we continue to thank you for the support. Thank all for praying, God bless you.

God has continued to bless our School for which we are thankful. The school is growing steadily as we keep to our mandate and calling, to help the vulnerable of our society in ensuring the learners have access to quality education. Their disadvantaged formative years may impact their spiritual and physical lives but we try to counsel and pray that they will know that God loves and cares for them.

NEEMA NEWSLETTER - JANUARY 2026

GREETINGS
Happy New Year, may this mail find you all well we pray. Sorry for the delay in updating you.
How have you all been? We pray and believe you are kept of the Lord and that you are experiencing God’s peace and good health especially this New Year. The Lord God Almighty has carried us under the shadow of His wings we have been safe and protected, you have faithfully stood with us in prayer, and we thank God so much for you all.

NEEMA CHILDREN’S HOME
When God spoke to us about starting Neema Children’s Home twenty years ago, humanly speaking we could not possibly comprehend the magnitude of the ministry growing from very humble beginnings. As we see young men and women, who were babies not long ago, we have every reason to say thank you to God. This is the doing of the Lord; we stand in awe of His wonderful deeds in the lives of every Neema child.
These scriptures are true to us, Psalm 118:23, “This was done by the Lord; what a wonderful sight it is.” And in The Message translation,in 1 Chronicles16:24, 25” we read, Publish his glory among the godless nations, his wonders to all races and religions. 25 And why? Because God is great well worth praising!” We have the testimony of the wonderful deeds of God. This far we have come with the Lord on our side, we have seen He is faithful for the Lord is Ebenezer.

(picture 2: Christmas evening meal being served)
(picture 3: Children enjoying Christmas meal)

The long School holiday is over. Most of School going children have already reported to their respective Schools. Three who sat for their Grade 9 national exam did well and have secured places in very competitive Schools. They will be reporting as from Monday 12th this month. We have 3 others who did their end of High School exam and will soon be joining College/University. Please pray that as they transit to new environment and level of education they be guided and protected by God.
We thank God for the ended Christmas/new year season. God protected us all for which we are thankful and grateful. The holiday was 10 weeks.
As written in an earlier newsletter, 1 Samuel 12:16-18" Now then, stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your eyes! . . . I will call upon the Lord to send thunder and rain. . . Then Samuel called upon the Lord . . . So all the people stood in awe of the Lord. . . .” Neema fraternity has every reason to stand in awe of the wonders of the Lord God Almighty in the lives of Neema children.
Applying this scripture to our case, we stand still; we see the great thing the Lord has done to Neema children when we call upon the Lord. You too call upon the Lord with us for good health of Neema children and their prosperity, thank you.

NEEMA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

NOVEMBER 2025 NEWSLETTER
GREETINGS - May this newsletter find you all well.
How have you all been? We pray and believe you are kept of the Lord and that you are experiencing God’s peace and good health. The Lord God Almighty has graciously kept us and guided us lovingly and carefully, under the shadow of His wings we have been safe and protected, you have faithfully stood with us, thank you.

NEEMA CHILDREN’S HOME
When God spoke to us about starting Neema Children’s Home twenty years ago, humanly speaking we could not possibly comprehend the magnitude of the ministry growing from very humble beginnings. Growth in terms of numbers, and also numerical growth not forgetting physical growth of the children. As we see young men and women, we have every reason to say thank you to God. This is the doing of the Lord; we stand in awe of His wonderful deeds.
The NIV translation of the Bible puts the scriptures this way in 1 Samuel 12:16-18 "Now then, stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your eyes! (17) … I will call upon the Lord to send thunder and rain… (18) Then Samuel called upon the Lord,… So all the people stood in awe of the Lord…”
Applying this scripture to our case, we stand still; we see the great thing the Lord has done to Neema children when we call upon the Lord. You too call upon the Lord with us for good health of Neema children and their prosperity, thank you. The children are home now from school till January except for those in University and some Colleges.
The hymn “Amazing grace” says in the second verse, “Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved”. It is true that it is by GRACE as our name reads. If it were not for grace, we would not have made it, without your prayers and support, we would not have made it, thank you.
In September, we received Anderson, 8 years (HIV+ and his brother, Thomas, also HIV+, 2 years old. Both of them have settled in very well. We are yet to welcome 2 other children from the Children’s office anytime now.

(photo 1: Anderson, 8 years old in Neema Christian School uniform)

Some of you are aware that Miriam and I had the privilege of being in the UK for two months, (September to October 2025). We sincerely thank all who prayed for this trip. Thank you all who were able to put us up, God bless you. Now we are back home safely for which we thank God.

Thank you other friends, Bob Jervis, Christ’s Church Barnston, Jane McCullum for arranging meetings to share and discuss Neema classrooms construction and other Neema family needs, the Nicholls, Paul and Fiona for your generous contribution toward the construction of the school classrooms, may the Lord bless you all. Thank you all for praying with us and for your support.

July 2025
To all Neema Children’s Home Friends,

GREETINGS
Greetings from us all here at Neema. It is our prayer that you are all well. The mercies of the Lord have been new in a divine way and we thank God for His care and life. The Bible, in the book of Psalm 27:13, 14 (The Amplified Bible) we read, what, what would have become of me had I not believed that I would see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living! Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.
Someone has said that faith and patience go together. The challenge with waiting is that it requires a lot of energy which at times is not available to this feeble and sinful body. Our prayer is that the Lord will increase our trust and faith in Him so that we may see His goodness in the land of the living. The old hymn, “What a friend we have in Jesus” is appropriate. It continues, "ALL our sins and griefs to bear, what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer". Still in our weaknesses, God is our God and a shelter in time of need. God is God and good indeed.

NEEMA HOME
All the school going children are in their respective schools except for those waiting to join College, we thank God. Please pray with us so that they secure places and also for provision for their requirements. Some of them have already secured places but others not yet.
For nearly two weeks, we have had a team from Tyndale Christian School students from Australia volunteer to paint the interior walls of Neema House. The walls were due for painting and as you may be aware, to set aside funds for such work is at times not easy because of other priorities.
(picture 2: The Australian team painted the children’s bedrooms)
(picture 3: The newly painted Neema house corridor)
(picture 4: Australia friends narrating a Christian story to Neema children)
In line with the government reintegration programme, one of the little ones will be reintegrated soon. Her mother, who had a mental challenge and in mental ward for quite some time, has recovered and will be reunited with her baby when the Children’s Officer is ready. Please pray that Lillian will be safe with her mother.
As the Lord promises in His word, He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is a very present help even in times of need, the good and gracious God. We have the assurance that God is on His throne forever even for the children who are reintegrated. Thanks be to God for the promise of His care provision and protection.

NEEMA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
The school has 260 learners for which we thank God, thank you friends too for your prayers concerning the increment of learners in our school. This number is slightly lower than last time we wrote our newsletter. The issue is school fees challenges for some parents. Please pray that God will provide for them so that their children will come to school rather than sit idle at home.
(picture 5: Friends from Australia helped make this outside classroom)

PLEASE THANK GOD WITH US FOR:
1. Peace and smooth running of Neema.
2. Continued blessing of good health.
3. God’s daily protection and provision.
4. The nearly completed school classrooms.

PLEASE PRAY WITH US FOR:
1) School fees especially College and University fees and other requirements.
2) Good health for the children and their safety.
3) Daily provisions.
4). Wisdom and understanding as we serve God.
5). For successful and complete joining of College/University for the six of our children.

CONCLUDING GREETINGS
We thank you so much for your support and prayers. May the God of divine blessings and grace be your God, may His face shine upon you all and give you His strength, good health and peace. May the joy of the Lord be your strength we pray.

Lots of love and prayers, Joshua and Miriam

GREETINGS!
Receive warm greetings from Neema family. May the joy of the Lord be your strength we pray. We pray and trust you are well and kept of the Lord. As the Bible puts it, and rightly so, in Psalm 52:9, we read, I will thank you and confide in You forever, because You have done it [delivered me and kept me safe]. I will wait on, hope in and expect in your name, for it is good, in the presence of your saints (Your kind and pious ones) (The Amplified Bible). We have found waiting and putting our hope in God our joy and peace. The name of the Lord is the name above all names, thanks be to God for giving us this wonderful and able name. Thank you all too for being there for us bless you abundantly.

NEEMA HOME
The Lord continues to faithfully care for Neema children and indeed, all of us. The children are doing well, we thank God. Neema family grew by adding Gladys, a 9 year old girl who had been at the hospital shelter for not being accepted by her family because she is HIV positive. We will be receiving 2 more children any time from now from a very needy family, the 2 are also HIV+.
Those yet to join College/University are six. Please pray with us so that they secure places and also for provision. In line with the government reintegration program, one of the little ones will be reintegrated soon. Her mother, who had a mental challenge and in mental ward for quite some time has recovered and will be reunited with her baby when the Children’s officer is ready authorizes. Please pray that Lillian will be safe with her mother.
