Encourage your child to pick up a slightly longer fiction book in a genre they enjoy. Talk about their favourite character, wonder together about what might happen next, or let them bring a favourite scene to life through a drawing.

🎉 We are incredibly proud of our talented learners who represented Little Lambs Schools at the ongoing 98th Kenya Music Festival – National Level, held at Kibabii University from 1st August 2026.

Their outstanding performances earned impressive results across four categories:

🏅 English Choral Verse (ECDE) – 4th Position (87%)
🏅 German Choral Verse (JSS) – 4th Position (85%)
🏅 KICD Poem – 6th Position (85%)
🏅 Arabic Solo Verse – 9th Position (77%)

These achievements reflect the hard work, dedication, and passion of our learners, as well as the unwavering support of our trainers and teachers.

Congratulations to all participants and trainers, and the entire Little Lambs community. We are proud of how our learners represented the school on the national stage, and we look forward to celebrating even greater milestones together. 🌟

The LLS Annual Swimming Gala marked a fitting close to Term 2, 2026. Parents, teachers and learners from all campuses gathered for a full day of swimming, cheering and enjoyment. Apart from fun, hosting these internal competitive events gives us a chance to assess learners’ swimming prowess and enables the learners to test their limits in a safe environment.

We thank our learners for coming out in their numbers, parents for gracing the occasion, teachers for preparing and coordinating the day’s activities, with a special mention to entire co-curricular team: your presence and efforts made the day a rousing success.

Our children left for the second term holidays last Friday, 31st July 2026, and will reconvene on Monday, 31st August 2026 for Term 3. May our Lord watch over the entire LLS fraternity during this brief holiday.

The Term 2 Sports Day was full of teamwork and joyful competition as learners from across the school's campuses gathered for a day of fun-filled activities. From exciting skill exercises for younger learners to riveting games for the older ones, teachers and parents, every corner of the grounds was alive with activity, giving everyone something to take part in or cheer on.

The festivities began with a colourful Scouts' march before learners dispersed across the grounds for a packed programme of games. The day's events culminated in an awards ceremony, bringing the celebrations to a fitting close.

A big thank you to the Games Master, Mr. Dancun Omuse, our teachers and support staff for making the day possible, to our learners for giving every event their all, and to our parents for their encouragement and support. We hope everyone went home with tired legs, happy hearts and plenty of stories to tell.

Last Thursday, our Grade 3 learners discovered that some of the best ideas begin with things we usually throw away. During their Waste Management Exhibition, they transformed leftover soap into soap gel and created mosaics, collages and other projects to showcase creative ways of reusing everyday materials.

The exhibition was more than an artistic display; it challenged learners to be creative, collaborate, solve problems, and confidently share their ideas. Caring for the environment starts with curiosity, creativity, and small actions close to home.

It was an exciting week for our Grade 5 and Grade 6 learners as they took to the field for friendly matches at St. Joseph's International Science School in Kapsoya and Great Joy Learning Centre in Outspan.

Competing in football and volleyball, our boys and girls had a wonderful time testing their skills, cheering for one another and proudly representing the school. The games offered a welcome change of pace from the regular classroom routine and a chance to connect with learners from other schools.

Regardless of the scoreline, we are proud of our learners for representing the school so well. Friendly matches like these give children the chance to enjoy sport, have fun, make new friends and create memories that stay with them long after the final whistle.

Our sincere appreciation goes to our Games Master, Mr. Duncan Omuse, for coordinating the events and ensuring everything ran smoothly. We also thank St. Joseph's International Science School and Great Joy Learning Centre for hosting us, and we look forward to many more opportunities to learn, compete and grow together.

Classroom learning comes alive when children have the opportunity to see lessons in action.

Last week, our Grade 6 learners visited Ken-Knit (K) Ltd. in Eldoret, where they saw firsthand how everyday textile products are made. From school sweaters and blankets to kikoys and towels, they followed the journey of different raw materials as they were transformed into the products we use every day.

At Little Lambs Schools, we value local industry visits because they give learners the opportunity to connect classroom lessons with the world around them. Beyond learning how different products are made, learners are introduced to the people, skills and careers behind the work, while also gaining an appreciation for workplace safety and professional conduct. Many of the concepts they encounter in class take on new meaning when they see their practical application in the real world.

We are grateful to the Ken-Knit team for welcoming our learners and giving them a glimpse into a company that has been part of the fabric of Eldoret for decades.

One of the greatest gifts we can give children is helping them understand why they learn what they learn, by watching how classroom lessons find life in the products they use, the industries that sustain our communities and, in future, the work they will do.

Career Day

Little Lambs Schools Junior School learners at the Wareng’ Branch participated in an engaging Career Day held on 6th June 2026 under the theme “Igniting Futures”. This day brought together professionals from many fields to engage with the Grades 7-9 learners as they think about their future senior school pathways.

During the event, learners were exposed to the world of work, helping them to understand how their current education and skill-building feed into the different professions. Learners were encouraged to explore, learn and connect with as many real-world professions as piqued their curiosity.

There were individual booths hosting professionals from over twenty fields including, Financial Services (Accounting, Audit, Insurance, Banking), Legal Practice, Computing and Technology, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Agricultural, Petroleum, & Electrical/Telecommunications), Medical Care (ENT specialist, Psychiatry, Nursing, Speech Therapy), Education and Training, Entrepreneurship, Visual Arts and Film Production, and Sales and Marketing, among others.

Learners visited different booths, interacting with the facilitators, who used personal experiences within their field to highlight the rewards and challenges of their chosen fields, and helped learners to understand the importance of transferable skills like teamwork, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and resilience, in addition to their classroom learning.

Learners also took notes and recorded their observations, which they will use to inform on ongoing discussions with their parents and teachers. We continue to support learners’ quests for further information as they gear up for senior school, and eventually the rest of their lives.
