The S.A Kuywa Girls' High School ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ (๐๐๐) of our school was held on Friday, 29th May 2025, and proved to be a significant event in the school calendar. It brought together parents, teachers, students, school staff, and community leaders for a day of reflection, celebration, and forward planning. The AGM provided a platform to evaluate the schoolโs progress, discuss key priorities, and strengthen the collaboration between the school and its stakeholders.
One of the central activities during the meeting was the election of ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฌ. Parents from each class participated actively in electing their representatives, who will serve as vital links between the class, the teaching staff, and the school administration throughout the year. In addition, a new ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ซ ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง (๐๐๐) Chairperson was elected to lead the committee in supporting school development initiatives and ensuring parents' voices are heard in decision-making processes.
A major highlight of the day was the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a modern ๐๐๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐๐ค. This landmark project is being funded by the Kabuchai Constituency Development Fund (CDF) under the able patronage of Hon. Majimbo Kalasinga-M.P Kabuchai Constituency . The new facilities will significantly improve the schoolโs learning environment, particularly for science subjects, and address the growing need for additional classroom space. The support of local leadership in this initiative is deeply appreciated and reflects a shared commitment to improving education in our community.
The AGM was also a moment to recognize and reward excellence within our school community. The top-performing students in the 2024 KCSE examinations was honored for their outstanding academic achievement. This recognition not only celebrates individual success but also serves as a powerful motivation to other students to work hard and aim high in their studies.
Furthermore, the school took time to celebrate the dedication and service of its staff members. Both teaching and non-teaching staff were acknowledged and awarded for their exemplary work and contributions to the schoolโs success. Teachers were recognized for their commitment to delivering quality education, while the non-teaching staff were celebrated for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the institution. Their collective efforts play a crucial role in shaping a nurturing and efficient school environment.
