*Additional KCPE News*

Following the release of KCPE results analysis by KNEC, this is how Wango pupils performed on a NATIONAL platform:

1) THIRTY (out of 33) or 90.9% of Wango 2018 candidates are within the top cream of 2018 candidates nationally, that is 22.87% of the top students nationwide. Si Mungu wetu ni wa ajabu!!

2) Even the last 3 students with 292 to 297 are within the 54% of the best scorers. Ni nini inaomshinda Mungu wetu?

3) This is not from national statistics but if a local Radio Station is to be believed, Wango produced THE BEST GIRL in Siaya and 2nd best overall in the county. Si tumsifu Mungu wetu??

*Sharing Exciting News*

We're proud to share that our school got a mean score of 350.03 in the just released 2018 KCPE results, with the lowest pupil scoring 292 and the highest 430. Mean score by subject is as follows: English 72.00, Kiswahili 70.73, Maths 70.76, Science 68.97 and SSR 67.58. That's called full disclosure😜

One thing we're sooo proud of as a school is that unlike some academies, The Wango Academy presents ALL pupils for exams; we do not enrol weak pupils in nearby public schools in order to maintain a high mean score as a marketing strategy or have a different stream for them probably bearing a different name. To us at Wango, we prepare all our children the best way possible and enrol all for exams!

We are therefore sooo proud of our pupils through the years since our first KCPE exams in 2015; we're sooo proud of our teachers and support staff; we're sooo proud of our parents who trusted us with their children!! Hats off to you parents!! And we're grateful to our God for His faithfulness.

We are having a major facelift: constructing a dormitory for boys; changing the pot-holed classroom floors into Terrazzo; painting the girls dormitory and classrooms; and as for the ECDE, wait till you see our play ground👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Kiboko yao!!!

As for academics, it will only get better and better each year. And our children are being moulded in line with Christian principles: to be responsible, respectful, and disciplined. Our kids were winners in co-curriculum activities up to regional and national levels in 2018. Our motto is: "In Own League"

POSITIONS OPENING IN 2019 AT
THE WANGO CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

Due to anticipated expansion of the school in 2019 and because some teaching staff were/will soon be absorbed by TSC, some positions are or will soon be vacant while new ones will be created. We are therefore inviting serious applicants to fill the following positions:
1. Senior Teachers, with demonstrated evidence of previous administrative roles.
2. Regular P1 and Diploma Teachers, with proven record of excellent results in upper primary.
3. ECDE Teachers, preferably with artistic skills.
4. Public Service Drivers – bus and van, with PSV and accident-free track record; experience in driving for schools highly preferred.
5. Cooks, with some level of post-F4 training, preferably in cookery and related courses.
6. Matrons, with experience in school dormitory management; ECDE training preferred.
7. Groundsmen/women.
8. Accountants – at least CPA Stage 2 (Sections 1-4) completed; experience with accounting package mandatory; experience in school accounting highly recommended.
9. Computer Teachers, with experience in computer training; basic ICT training required.
10. Tutors for The Wango ECDE Teachers’ Training College – Diploma and Degree holders

Notes: Teachers with special talents such as swimming, music, musical instruments, in-door games, cocurricular activities, and so on are particularly encouraged to apply.
All positions in Primary and TTC sections must have TSC numbers.
Indicate in your cover letter why you are leaving/left the organization you are/were working in and why you want to join The Wango; include current and expected salary.
Teaching positions are also open to retired teachers who are VIBRANT!!
