7月生が勝連城跡（かつれんじょうあと）の見学（けんがく）に行ってきました！
勝連城跡は、うるま市にある世界遺産（せかいいさん）です。
頂上（ちょうじょう）からは太平洋（たいへいよう）が一望（いちぼう）できる、沖縄有数（おきなわ ゆうすう）の景勝地（けいしょうち）です。当日（とうじつ）は天気（てんき）が良（よ）く、海（うみ）も沖縄（おきなわ）らしい青色（あおいろ）でとてもきれいでした。
みんなでバスに乗（の）ったり、城跡（じょうせき）や歴史文化施設（れきしぶんかしせつ）を見学（けんがく）したりして、クラスの友だちや先生ともっと仲（なか）よくなりました♪
日本に来て約（やく）1か月が過（す）ぎ、少しずつですが環境（かんきょう）にも慣（な）れてきました。沖縄（おきなわ）にはまだまだ見どころがたくさんあります。それらの場所（ばしょ）を友達（ともだち）と訪（おとず）れるのを楽（たの）しみにしています。
Students of July classes visited the Katsuren Castle Ruins!
The Katsuren Castle Ruins is a World Heritage Site in Uruma City.
This place is one of the best sights in Okinawa. You can see the Pacific Ocean from the top of the castle. The weather was nice on the day, and the sea was beautiful blue-just like you’d expect in Okinawa.
We rode a bus and took walk the castle and museum together, and we got to know more about our classmates and teachers!
It’s been about few weeks since we arrived in Japan, and we are gradually getting used to the environment. There are still so many things to see in Okinawa. We look forward to visiting those places with our friends.

２０２６年（ねん）7月生（がつせい）の入学式 （にゅうがくしき）を おこないました！
今年（ことし）の7月生は、ネパール、ミャンマー、パキスタン、ウズベキスタンから来た学生（がくせい）たちです。
学生らはみなフォーマルな装（よそお）いで、少（すこ）し緊張（きんちょう）した様子（ようす）で先生（せんせい）の話（はなし）をきいていました。式の前にはうるま警察署（けいさつしょ）による交通安全講習（こうつうあんぜんこうしゅう）も行われ、日本の交通ルールについて学（まな）びました。
式では校長先生（こうちょうせんせい）の祝辞（しゅくじ）のあと先生方（せんせいがた）の紹介（しょうかい）がありました。それから在校生（ざいこうせい）と新入生（しんにゅうせい）の代表（だいひょう）があいさつをしました。
式（しき）のあとの祝賀会（しゅくがかい）ではソフトドリンクで乾杯（かんぱい）！学生らは友達（ともだち）や先生方と積極的（せっきょくてき）にコミュニケーションをとって、写真（しゃしん）を撮（と）り合（あ）っていました。
これから日本語（にほんご）の勉強（べんきょう）がいよいよスタートします！

We held the entrance ceremony for the July 2026 students!
This July, we welcomed new students from Nepal, Myanmar, Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
All the students were formally dressed and seemed a little nervous, but listened attentively to the teachers’ speeches. Prior to the ceremony, the Uruma Police Station conducted a traffic safety lecture, where they learned about Japan’s traffic rules.
At the ceremony, the teachers were introduced following the principal’s congratulatory address. Then, representatives of the current students and the new students delivered speeches.
At the celebration following the ceremony, everyone toasted with soft drinks! The students actively mingled with friends and teachers, taking photos together.
Now, their journey of studying Japanese is about to begin!

7月15日と17日の二日間にわけて、当校の2年生が沖縄県立前原高校の学生と交流しました！
約1時間の交流の中で、前原高校の学生は学校のことや沖縄の文化や観光スポットを、当校の学生はそれぞれの学生の出身国を紹介しました。そして前原高校の学生は沖縄の伝統文化である「エイサー」を披露してくれました。当校の学生らも興味深そうに鑑賞していました。交流後の感想文にもエイサーのことに触れた学生が多くいました。年齢的には当校の学生らが少し先輩ですが、ほぼ同世代の高校生らとの交流に普段の授業では見せない素敵な笑顔を見せてくれました。前原高校の学生のみなさん、そして教職員のみなさん、ありがとうございました。

Over the course of two days—July 15 and 17—our school's second-year students engaged in an exchange with students from Okinawa Prefectural Maehara High School!
During the approximately 1-hour session, the Maehara High School students introduced Okinawan culture and tourist attractions, while our students shared information about their own respective home countries.
Students from Maehara High School performed "Eisa," a traditional Okinawan dance and music. Our students watched the performance with great interest, and many mentioned the Eisa performance in their reflections after the exchange.
Although our students are slightly older, they showed wonderful smiles—the kind not usually seen in class—while interacting with high school students of roughly the same generation.

7月7日は七夕（たなばた）です。七夕とは、7月7日の夜に願いごとを書いた短冊（たんざく）や飾（かざ）りを笹（ささ）の葉（は）につるし、星にお祈（いの）りをする行事（ぎょうじ）です。
学校でも少（すこ）し早（はや）めですが学生と一緒（いっしょ）にそれぞれの願いごとを書いて七夕を楽しみました♪
願い事を覗いてみると、先日終わったばかりのJLPT「N3に合格しますように」や、「彼女ができますように・・・」など。一番目についたのは「お金持ちになれますように・・」でした。お金持ちになるために今やるべきことを頑張りましょう！
私の願い事は・・・みなさんの願いごとがかないますように
July 7th is Tanabata, the Star Festival. This is a Japanese event that people write their wishes on Tanzaku, a strip of paper, and hang them on bamboo leaves and make their wishes on a star on the night of July 7th.
Although it was a bit early, we enjoyed Tanabata at school by writing our wishes in Japanese and hanging them on bamboo trees.
When I took a peek at the wishes that students had written, I saw thing like “I hope I pass the JLPT N3” (following the recent exam) and “I hope I get a girlfriend…” But the one that really caught my eye was “I hope I become rich…” that many students wrote. Let’s work hard on what needs to be done right now to make that happen!
My wish is…that everyone’s wishes come true!

7月5日の日曜日（にちようび）に学生たちがJLPT（Japanese Language Proficiency Test）を受けに行きました。N2～N4まで総勢（そうぜい）71名が受験（じゅけん）しました。
朝は少（すこ）しドキドキしている様子（ようす）でしたが、みんな最後（さいご）まで頑張（がんば）りました
毎日コツコツ勉強（べんきょう）した成果（せいか）をしっかり出せたと思います！結果（けっか）が楽しみです！
これからもたくさんの学生が合格（ごうかく）できるよう、当校（とうこう）もサポート頑張ります
On Sunday, July 5th, students went to take the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test). A total of 71 students (N 2 to N 4) took the test.
They looked a little nervous in the morning, but everyone tried their best until the end.
We are looking forward to the results!
Our school will continue to work hard to support as many students as possible so that they can pass the exam.

All the students were formally dressed and seemed a little nervous, but listened attentively to the teachers’ speeches. Prior to the ceremony, the Uruma Police Station conducted a traffic safety lecture, where they learned about Japan’s traffic rules.
At the celebratory party after the ceremony, their expressions completely changed and they showed wonderful smiles, looking relieved.
Now, their journey of studying Japanese is about to begin!

5月８日に進路説明会（しんろせつめいかい）を開催（かいさい）しました！日本各地（にほんかくち）から、大学（だいがく）や専門学校（せんもんがっこう）の先生方（せんせいがた）が、わざわざうるま市までお越（こ）しいただき、学校の説明（せつめい）をしてくださいました。学生たちにとっても、車のこと、ビジネスのこと、介護（かいご）のこと、工学（こうがく）に関する分野（ぶんや）のことなど、いろんな話を聞くことができて、自分の進路（しんろ）について考（かんが）える、いい機会（きかい）になったと思います。みんな目を輝（かがや）かせてお話しを聞いていました。
先生方、どうもありがとうございました！

The career guidance fair was held on May 8th!
Teachers from a university and vocational colleges from across Japan came and gave presentations about their schools. We believe it was a great opportunity for students to learn about fields like automobiles, business, nursing care and welfare, engineering, and more — and to think about their future career options! Everyone listened to the guidance carefully with sparkling eyes.

とうとう卒業（そつぎょう）です！！
1年9か月～2年間を東洋言語文化学院（とうようげんごぶんかがくいん）で一生懸命（いっしょうけんめい）勉強（べんきょう）してきたみなさん、ご卒業おめでとうございます！！
みなさんが卒業するのはさびしいですが、それ以上（いじょう）に、うれしい気持ちでいっぱいです。楽（たの）しいことも、大変（たいへん）なことも たくさんあったと思いますが、そのすべてが、大切（たいせつ）な経験（けいけん）になったはずです。
これから、それぞれ新しい道へ進（すす）んでいきますね。東洋言語文化学院で学（まな）んだことを忘（わす）れずに、新しい場所（ばしょ）でもがんばってください！ 先生たちは、いつまでもみなさんを応援（おうえん）しています！！

東洋言語文化学院（とうようげんごぶんかがくいん）では、日本の文化（ぶんか）を体験（たいけん）する特別（とくべつ）な日があります。
書道（しょどう）やけんだま・だるまおとし・カルタなど日本の遊（あそ）びを楽しんだり、浴衣（ゆかた）のきつけなどを体験したりました。みなさん、時間を忘（わす）れて楽（たの）しんでいましたね！そして毎回特に人気の高いエイサー体験。沖縄国際大学（おきなわこくさいだいがく）の「琉球風車」のみなさんから、エイサーという沖縄（おきなわ）の伝統的（でんとうてき）なおどりを、学（まな）びました。浴衣を着たりエイサーを踊ったりして、まるでお祭りのようでした。みなさんの笑顔（えがお）があふれていましたね！きっと思い出に残（のこ）る素敵（すてき）な体験（たいけん）となったことでしょう。
そして、エイサーを教（おし）えてくれた大学生のみなさん、どうもありがとうございました！
We have a special day to experience Japanese culture.
First-year students enjoyed Shodo (Japanese calligraphy), traditional Japanese games such as Kendama (Japanese juggling toy), Daruma-Otoshi (Traditional Japanese game of skill made of a pile of circular wooden blocks with a Daruma head on top), and Karuta (Japanese card game), and also tried on Yukata (Japanese summer kimono). Everyone had so much fun, losing track of time!
As part of a cultural experience, we held an Eisa experience, which is a very popular program every time. Students learned the traditional Okinawan dance called Eisa from members of Eisa team called “Ryukyu Kazaguruma” of Okinawa International University. With they wearing yukata and dancing Eisa, it felt just like a Omatsuri festival. Smiles were everywhere! It was surely a wonderful experience that will be remembered for a long time.
