Current weather forecasts indicate Okinawa may experience its first typhoon of the season early next week.

We wanted to take this opportunity to remind families how DoWEA school operations are impacted at Tropical Cyclone Conditions of Readiness (TCCOR) 1, 1C, 1E, 1R and Storm Watch. DoWEA Pacific South District communicates changes to school operations in partnership with the installations we serve.

Please see attached flyer for detailed information. We encourage families to follow installation safety guidance and monitor weather updates.

Evening with the Arts: A Night to Remember
By Ms. Fitch, UPK Teacher

Creativity took center stage for an unforgettable Evening with the Arts! The space was transformed into a gallery of bold expression—every piece a reflection of student voice, imagination, and courage. From striking black-and-white compositions to vibrant mixed-media self-portraits, the talent on display spoke volumes.

This night would not have been possible without the vision and dedication of our incredible art teacher, Ms. Rad who curated an experience that honored each student as an artist. Families walked through, paused, reflected, and celebrated—not just the artwork, but the process behind it.

Kinser’s cultural community connection took it to the next level with our host nation joining us for an unforgettable experience.

Moments like these remind us exactly who we are: a small school with a powerful heartbeat. **Though she be small, she is mighty.**

Big shout out to all the Kinser Clipper Choir Club with our Music Teacher, Ms. Walls, Kinser Staff, Teachers and PTO for an amazing evening with the arts. It was nice to feel that Kinser family vibe again with everyone supporting and celebrating our students!
