Teaching is my passion. I have been teaching since 2001.

I taught intellectually disabled students for 5 years in a junior high school in America as a certified special education teacher. From 2006 to 2013, I taught English in many children centers, elementary schools and junior high schools in the Kurobe/Unazuki area. In Tokyo, I was a principal of an international school from 2014 to 2016. Upon moving back to Toyama in 2016, I opened Apple Start English Center. My goal is to teach English to as many children as possible. I hope to teach yours. About the school:
Anyone can learn English at any age. It just depends on how your are taught, if you have fun learning it or not. I plan fun, but challenging lessons for students of all ages. I use a variety of methods and materials, such as card and board games, books, songs, apps and much more. I stay up-to-date on the latest materials and apps in order to find fun and exciting ways to learn English. There are 4 levels of classes available for children ages 2 to 18. Each level is designed with the age and ability of the child in mind. The lower classes use more songs, books, and games to introduce the children to English. The upper classes focus more on reading, writing, and speaking, but are still fun and engaging. I also offer extra classes to study for the Eiken test. Many of my students have taken and passed the Eiken tests from level 5 to level pre-2. There is an extra charge for Eiken study classes. English is not only classwork, so I have events in and out of the classroom. Within the classroom, I celebrate each child’s birthday with a mini party with cake and presents. Outside the classroom, I have Halloween parties, Christmas parties, and other events. These are very popular with the students. They learn English while having fun.

アメリカで5年間認定特殊教育教師を勤めました。2006年に冨山に来てから児童センター、小学校、中学校などで講師を勤め、また、一時東京在住の折りにはインターナショナルスクールで校長をいたしました。2016年に東京から冨山に戻り、アップルスタートイングリッシュセンターを開設し現在に到っています。

「楽しく学ぶ」ことが英語習得の一番の近道です。これは私の経験から確信をもって言えることです。楽しみながら学ぶことが出来れば年齢に関わりなく確実に進歩することができるでしょう。当校では、意欲的にレッスンを進める一方で、子供たちが楽しめる企画も用意しています。在籍する子供たは「楽しく学ぶ」で自信をつけ、レッスン中のその顔は楽しそうで輝いています。
最近、小学校4年生10才の私の生徒が英検準2級に合格しました。他にも年下で5級以上に合格した子か多数います。
当校では2才～18才までのお子さんに年齢、英語力に応じて4つのコースを用意しています。幼児コース（マミー&ミー、シードリング）では、歌、本、ゲームなどを使い、まずは英語に接ししっかり親しむことから始めています。また児童•上級コース（バッズ、ブロッサム）では読む、書く、聞く、話すに焦点を当てていますが、もちろん「楽しく」も忘れていません。
この他、英検などの認定試験の準備のための特別レッスンもご提案しております。
生徒一人一人の誕生会、アメリカ文化の紹介、またハロウィンやクリスマスパーティーの開催など課外行事も取り入れ、「
楽しく学ぶ」環境造りの努力をしています。

Why should your child learn English with me? Not only do I have the best lessons, and many of my students pass the Eiken on the first try, I go beyond teaching and recognize each student's birthday. It is a way to connect with each student and to make them feel special, as they should be. They get a special balloon, a slice of cake of their choice, and a small present. Birthdays are just as important as learning.

Our Story

At Apple Start English Center, English education is much more than just rote memorization and book work. It's having fun while learning. It's being able to use English outside of the classroom. It's learning to love English as more than just a subject. アップルスタートイングリッシュセンター(ASEC)では、英語学習はただ単なる暗記と筆記によるものではありません。楽しく学習することを目的としています。ただ単なる教科としてではなく、英語を外の世界で使えるようになる楽しみを味わってもらいたいと思います。 ASEC's main goal is to not only teach all the skills of English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening), but to do it in a way that makes learning extremely enjoyable. ASECは４つのスキル（読み、書き、スピーキングとリスニング）を習得するだけではなく、それらを楽しく学ぶことをゴールとしています。 We have four age level classes available that cater to the needs of children aged 2 to 18. I look forward to finding the right class for your child to begin her journey to English enlightenment. ２歳から１８歳までの年齢層の生徒のために、４つのクラスを準備しています。 I have 18 years of teaching experience in both America and Japan in various preschools, elementary and junior high schools.
