２年生クラスは、4/21(火)、22(水)の2日間で学校見学に行ってきました！
行ったのは、松本大学と大原学園松本校です。
学校の説明を聞いたり、施設見学をしたり、学食でランチを食べたりしました。
広くてきれいな校舎や設備に「先生！トイレがホテルみたい！」という声も。
先生も学生さんも優しくいろいろなことを教えてくださり、とても良い刺激になったと思います。
どうもありがとうございました。
２年生はこれから進路決定に向けて本格的に動き始めます。
将来のことを決めるのは簡単ではありませんが、見学で得たことがヒントになったらいいなと思います。

On April 21st and 22nd, our 2nd-year students participated in school tours at Matsumoto University and Ohara Gakuen Matsumoto.
The visit included detailed school orientations, facility tours, and a chance to dine in the school cafeteria. The students were highly impressed by the modern equipment and the scale of the campuses, with many expressing how clean and beautiful the facilities were.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the faculty and students of both institutions for their warm welcome and for sharing valuable information. The experience was very stimulating for our students.
As our 2nd-year students begin the process of finalizing their career and education paths, we hope that the insights gained during these tours will serve as a helpful guide for their future decisions.

Our new students arrived in Japan last week. Following their orientation and class placement tests, classes were assigned this week, and regular lessons have officially commenced.
While there are likely many things they are still adjusting to in their new lives here, we look forward to supporting them on their journey toward their goals. Let’s make great progress together!

[2025 Academic Year (2026) Speech Contest and Graduation Ceremony]
Six students, who emerged as winners from the preliminary rounds held in each class, delivered their speeches. This was followed by the graduation ceremony.
In addition to our graduates and current students, we were honored to welcome many guests, including family members, part-time job supervisors, and others who have supported our students during their time at the college.
To all our graduates: Congratulations on your graduation! We sincerely wish you great success in all your future endeavors from here in Suwa.

When we asked the students about their impressions, they shared that it was both "delicious" and "fun." They seemed particularly fascinated by the unique experience of whisking their own bowl of matcha. 🥣✨

【ボウリング大会】
もうすぐ卒業を迎える2年生のみんなでボウリング大会を行いました。
ボウリングが初めてという学生がたくさんいましたが事前にボウリング学習をして、今日のこの日を迎えました。
ストライクが出た時の歓声が会場中に響いていました。
今回のイベントでは上位入賞者だけでなく、ラッキー賞もたくさん用意しました。
そして目玉は… 「38位」の特別賞！🎊 長野国際文化学院は、今年で創立38周年を迎えました。この記念すべき数字の順位だった学生に贈られました。
みんなの笑顔が見られて、最高の一日になりました！

【Bowling Tournament】
We held a bowling tournament for our second-year students, who will soon be graduating. Many of the students were new to bowling, but they prepared for today by learning about the sport in advance. The sound of cheering whenever someone hit a strike echoed throughout the venue.
For this event, we prepared not only prizes for the top finishers but also many "lucky prizes." The highlight was the special prize for 38th place! 🎊 Since Nagano International Culture College celebrates its 38th anniversary this year, the prize was awarded to the student who landed in this commemorative rank.
Seeing everyone’s smiles made it a truly wonderful day!

「小学生と交流」
諏訪市内の小学校へ有志の留学生4名がお邪魔して小学2年生と交流しました。
日本の遊びを楽しんだり、留学生の国の言葉を教えてあげたりしました。小学生は熱心にメモをとりあっという間に上手に話していました。
校内も案内してくれて、初めて日本の小学校を訪れた留学生はニコニコ。
帰る時はタクシーに乗り込み、見えなくなるまで見送ってもらいました。
「もっと一緒に楽しみたかった！」と名残惜しそうでした。

“Event with Elementary School Students”
Four of our students volunteered to visit an elementary school in Suwa City and interacted with second-grade pupils.
They enjoyed traditional Japanese games together and taught the children words from the students’ home countries. The elementary school children took notes enthusiastically and were soon able to speak impressively well.
The pupils also guided them around the school, and the international students—visiting a Japanese elementary school for the first time—were all smiles.
When it was time to leave, the children saw them off as they boarded the taxi, waving until they disappeared from sight.
The students commented regretfully, “We wanted to spend more time together!”

【お楽しみ旅行】
10月30日、私たちは1年生を連れて長野県安曇野市の大王わさび農場へ行きました。
中には「わさびが植物だとは知らなかった」という学生もいました。
農場はとても美しく、澄んだ水が流れるきれいな川が農場の横を蛇行していました。
帰る前に、わさび味のソフトクリームを試してみました。とても美味しかったです。
その後、松本市に移動し、イオンモールで昼食をとりました。
そして、有名で歴史ある松本城へ向かいました。
天守閣の最上階まで登ると、階段がとても急であることに気づきました。
城内には、鉄砲や侍の道具など、歴史的な戦の資料が展示されていました。
心にも頭にも充実した一日となりました。

【Fun trip】
In October 30th, we took our first year students to Daio Wasabi Farm in Azumino, Nagano. There are students who did not know that wasabis are plant. It was a beautiful place. There was a pretty river with clear water that curls on the side of the farm. Before we leave, we tried the wasabi flavored soft cream. It was delicious. After that we went to Matsumoto-city to eat lunch at Aeon Mall, and continued our journey to the famous and historic Matsumoto castle. We went to the top of the castle and found out that the stairs were steep. There were historic warfare memorabilia being displayed in the castle like rifles and tools of a samurai soldier. It was a fulfilling day for our minds and our hearts.

アシスタントティチャー、校内放送、翻訳作業などに挑戦。留学生は「ん？いつもと放送の声が違う⁉️」「ん、日本人の学生が教室に来た！」
いつもと違う「ん⁉️」が良い刺激と緊張になったと思います。

[Junior High School Workplace Experience]
This year, we welcome again junior high school students for a two-day workplace experience at our school.
They took on various challenges such as assisting teachers, making school announcements, and doing translation work.
The international students reacted with surprise — “Huh? The announcement voice sounds different today!?” “Wait, a Japanese student came into our classroom!”
Those unexpected moments of “Huh!?” surely provided a good source of stimulation and a bit of healthy tension.

【新入生の自転車教室】
10月生対象の自転車教室を行いました。交通安全支援センターの指導員さんにお越しいただきました。
買ったばかりの真新しい自転車とヘルメットを被り実地訓練スタートです。ヘルメットの正しい被り方、自転車の安全点検などの基本から教えていただきました。
自分の命は自分で守る。日本の生活を安全に過ごしてほしいものです。

[Bicycle Class for New Students]
We held a bicycle class for students who enrolled in October. An instructor from the Traffic Safety Support Center was invited to guide the session.
The students, wearing their brand-new helmets and riding their freshly purchased bicycles, began practical training. They were taught the basics, such as how to properly wear a helmet and how to perform safety checks on their bicycles.
This day`s theme was "Your safety is your own responsibility”. We hope they can lead their student life safely in Japan.

The October 2025 class has enrolled! We were blessed with beautiful weather, arriving on a beautiful, clear autumn day. The new students were thrilled by their first visit to Japan and seemed filled with excitement.
