One week to go home. It was quite fun, but nothing is better than home, I guess. School is pretty normal so far, nothing to struggle with studying. But if I can give any advice to the next class going to Australia, they should bring a calculator. Because the number is too big and the answer is not a clean number. It's always dirty and complex. I tried to do my assessment without a calculator and it took me so long to answer. You don't need a high-tech calculator, just bring the normal one and it will be fine. My teacher calls it grandma's calculator, but it's OK with the normal one.
By the way, my host mum's daughter, who lives in South Africa, had a really bad car accident last week and my host mum flew to South Africa to visit her in hospital. So I had to say goodbye to her a week early. But I got my new flatmate. So actually there was a bit of trouble with his last host family, but I don't want to talk about that here. Ask me individually if you want.
Anyway, I walked a lot this week. I walked to McDonald's 5km from my house for no reason. But it was worth it. So I was navigated by my map app and I walked through some sort of golf course. It was very big and most of the people were using golf carts. There was even a traffic sign for a golf cart. People are free to walk around the golf course and there is no security or charge. It was like a public park. The house around the golf course was very big and looked fantastic. I think just like there are a lot of rich people on the coast, it seems that the rich people in the interior are concentrated in the houses along this golf course.
After this day, which is Sunday. I went to Kings Park again with my friends to join the Pokemon Go event. Before that, we ate some fish and chips. However, it was too salty and I didn't really like it. I wish I had ketchup or something. Then we headed to Kings Park. I heard that Kings Park is the hottest place for Pokemon Go.
It sounds stupid but actually there were tons of people and when the event started the server just went down because there were too many accesses at once.
It was pretty fun, we met some new people there and had a bit of a chat and I think we had a good time. Did we enjoy the view? No, not really, because we were concentrating on our phones the whole time. Although we've been there before, it doesn't really matter to me.

On Monday, March 11, we had a surfing class starting after 7:30 in the morning. Since it was my first time surfing, it was more difficult than I expected and I struggled to find my balance when standing up. When a strong wave came, the board fell on my head and it hurt. This place is called Yo-Chi, and it is my favorite place because you can decide how much you want, what toppings, etc., and it is very delicious!
On Wednesday, March 13th, we went snorkeling in the morning in the marine class. It was a very windy day and the sea was muddy, so we couldn't see many fish, but it was a lot of fun! In the evening, two of my host mother's daughters and their partner came to my house. They were all very nice and we had a lot of fun talking with them. The two daughters used Barbie dolls and other things they used when they were little to do their hair and coordinate their outfits. It was adorable to watch them play😹💖✨.
Thursday, March 14 was the day school let out a little early so we went to Hillarys Boat Harbour after school and bought some bracelets. They are very cute and my favorite. I found one that would look good on my host mother, so I bought it and gave it to her as a gift. She was happy to wear it, so I was happy too. When I got home, my host father asked me if I wanted to go with him to my brother's birthday party. So we went to Whitford for dinner. It was delicious!
On Friday, March 15, I wore new shoes to school. One of my local friends said, "Your shoes are cute! I like them! I was so happy that my local friends said, "Your shoes are so cute! We had a "House time" where all the grades get together for class, and the local kids joined us and we played UNO together. It was fun!
When I got home, I made my own acai bowl. It didn't taste as good as the ones at the restaurant, but it was delicious, so I was satisfied! lol
On Saturday, March 16, we went to Fremantle. It was a long way, taking 1.5 hours from home. The streets of Fremantle were very beautiful. Finally, on Sunday, March 17, my host mother's daughter, her partner, my son, and I went to the Marine Athletic Center! It was fun to ride the very long and steep sliders and fly through the air!

On Saturday, I went out with my friend. We went to around Ellenbrook Central. After that we had lunch Vietnam restaurant. The Vietnamese food there was relatively cheaper than at other restaurants, at $16. I ordered the Crispy Pork Noodle. It tasted very good and I was impressed that I could eat Asian food again after a long time. After lunch, we went for a walk. There we found many beautiful parks and played Pokemon Go. I had never been interested in Pokemon before, but my friends encouraged me to try it. They taught me a lot of knowledge and I learned about Pokemon that are only found in Australia. Pokemon Go has made my study abroad experience even more enjoyable by getting me into the habit of taking walks.
I went to Rottenest Island on Sunday with my friends. We needed a boat reservation to get to Rottnest Island and we booked it on our own. We were not sure if we were really able to make the reservation, but we were glad we did. We chose to rent bikes when we booked and paid about $120.Then I woke up at 6:00 a.m. and took a bus to Bassendean station, then changed trains in Perth to Fremantle station. While riding the train, I could see the vast ocean from the train window, which was very powerful and beautiful. It took about 2 hours to reach the station. We had an hour to spare before our meeting time and decided to visit Fremantle. One of my friends was hungry, so we went to Subway. He was eating a meatball sandwich, which looked very tasty, but I was not hungry, so I did not eat it.Then after he finished eating we went to the port and boarded the boat. It took about 30 minutes from the departure point to the destination. The ship was very spacious and there were many tourists. After we arrived, we picked up our bicycles and went cycling. While cycling I was able to see numerous beautiful sights. The ocean was clear, the beaches were a beautiful white color, and there was no trash at all.I was also able to see numerous wild creatures. For example, lizards, snakes, and quokkas. I was especially impressed by the quokka, which had a very cute looking, smiling mouth. I am glad I was able to take a good picture of it.We finally arrived in Perth around 4:00 pm, had a kebab and went home each other.

I went to Perth city with my friend and we went to the supermarket to buy something to eat. Then, we went to Kings park. I walked through the park. There is a lot of nature. The park has a very nice view. We could enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Perth. The lawn was beautiful and there were many tourists. However it was windy and cloudy that day, so I'd like to go there again another day. After that, my friend visited my home and we had a slumber party. We ate a lot of snacks. We swam at the home pool. When we were swimming, the sky was so beautiful. In Australia, the sky is always beautiful in the evening.
March 3rd
My friend and I made ‘Temakisushi’ for my host family. I made tuna mayo, egg, Grilled pork with ginger and so on. They liked it. They were surprised because in Australia, they only have roll type sushi. Also I was starting to miss Japanese food so I'm glad that I was able to make it. If I have an opportunity, I will try making Japanese food again.
March 4th
Today was a holiday so I went to Karrinyup Shopping Centre with my friend. There were many shops. There were many brand-name shops, as well as tea shops, chocolate shops, and supermarkets. My favorite shop is Yo-chi ice cream shop. At this shop, you can make your own ice cream and add toppings of your choice. My recommendation is the lychee flavored ice cream. It was refreshing and very delicious. I want to try a different flavor next time.
March 6th
Today was my host sister’s birthday. She is now 13 years old. She seemed happy to receive so many presents. We had a special dinner at an Italian restaurant. I ate chicken parmigiana. My host mother told me that it is a famous Australian meal. It was so tasty.
March 7th
I went to school as usual. After school, I went to Joondalup shopping center. I bought some clothes and a smoothie. The smoothie was delicious. There were a lot of shops, but not as many as Karrinyup. On the way home, there was no bus at a good time, so I walked a lot. It was very hot today and the sun was shining. It's been a while since I walked, so I was very tired but it was good exercise.

I don't think there are any new things I did compared to last week, but there are some things I haven't written about.
First of all, we didn't have school for 4 days, so I had a good rest. During those days I cleaned my room and watched a lot of movies at home. On Monday, I forgot that there was no school, so I woke up early and got ready for my class. I waited for about 30 minutes and then I remembered that the last day we have no classes is Monday. I didn't have anything to do, so my sister and I went to the cinema to watch Madam Web. It wasn't bad, nor good, it was just so-so for me. I think the red glasses and the red lipstick of Madam Web made me cringe so much.
School started again from Tuesday. It was so hard to wake up early because on the days we didn't have school I slept very late and watched movies on my laptop, but luckily I managed to wake up early and attend my classes. I also received my grades on the same day. I think I got a good grade as I expected, but there's just one part I didn't expect. It's a secret, I can't tell you.
So anyway, the best part is that I only have 3 classes every Wednesday because in the afternoon my classmates go out to have excursions. Since I don't have afternoon class, I always have free time and I use it to do the homework I haven't finished, so I think it helps me save time to have a rest. I think it is the first time that I am liking Wednesdays.
The day after that, we had a lesson about International Women's Day. Actually, I thought that Women's Day was special BUT not that special. After watching some videos about its history, which I found interesting, I realized that celebrating Women's Day is a MUST and being a woman is AMAZING. Comparing the ancient years with the current ones, the women of those days were literally doing their best to have women's rights before they achieved their goals. But now, women have more opportunities than before. They can vote, work, and get an education just
like men. Everyone is encouraged to dream big and achieve their goals without limits. This lesson was really interesting and I learned a lot from it.

I had decided to do a survey about “Deference in Financial Sense between Japan and Australia.” So I will talk about the results of the survey.
First, I will talk about “Financial Sense in Japan.” Most Japanese have “the spirit of thinking that it is not good for many waste goods.” It is called “Mottai-nai Seishin.” So I think Japanese don’t use a lot of money, and we just buy things we need. And most Japanese people don’t have big fridge, so we don’t buy a lot in one shopping. The other is how to pay for the shopping. Most Japanese people use cash.
In Japan, for example, a “coke bottle” is about 160 yen. If you buy something in a 100 yen shop in Japan, you can get only 100 yen. It is so cheap I think. But in Japan wages are so cheap.
For these, I will talk about my predictions for Australian “Financial Senses.” I thought Australian people buy a lot of goods and foods at once while shopping. And I thought in Australia I can buy goods cheaper than Japan because Australia is a big country, so Australia can make goods in its own country. So I think Australia doesn’t need import taxes from other countries and I can buy goods cheaper than Japan.
My prediction is correct for only Australian people’s buying style. I followed my host mother shopping. There was a big supermarket where, like Costco in Japan. She put bread in a shopping cart. I thought she put in a bread, but she put in three breads. I couldn’t believe it because I have ever seen a person buy a loaf of bread. Of course not only bread but also drinks. But my prediction is correct until here. Most Australian people use cashless payments. In Australia, cashless payments are usually used. If I buy drinks from vending machines, I use a credit card.
And I predict I can buy goods cheaper than Japan but this is not correct either. A coke is 5 dollars that I buy from vending machines. I had known this fact, I had understood why most Australians have a water bottle.
So far, I have said that Australia is like everything is expensive, but of course some things are cheaper than Japan, such as vegetables and meats. Australia is a big country, so I think Australia has a lot of big farms. Cost to buy vegetables is per kilogram. That is a difficult thing from Japan. And Australia is famous for meat production. So meat is so much cheaper than in Japan. Black meat is so cheap that I can’t believe in Japan. Of course not only beef but also chicken and pork.
I could see different cultures about shopping and paying. It is good experience for me.

On February 22, I went to the Kings park with host family and roommate. “Kings park” with a panoramic view of the city of Perth, which is said to be “the most beautiful city in the world”, is a place for locals to relax in huge park on a small hill. It’s a very large park, but there is a wonderful road where I can go around the view in few minutes. I took a walk in the park, after I had ate dinner at the park. We walked around park and we looked out over the city. The view of the Perth city is breathtaking. I was very happy because I can see the beautiful scenery. I do not forget of that scenery.
On February 24, I went to the Yancheng national park and I saw the koala.🐨❤️ I did not see lots of koalas, but I saw 3 koalas so I had fun. They are very cute. I want to hold koala next time. After that I went to the friend’s house and park nearby her house. We saw rainbow when we went to the park. We played frisbee. I played sport for the first time in a long time and it is great!!!!!!!!
On February 25, I went to the chocolate factory. This place has a lot of chocolate. I had a free sample of chocolate and I bought chocolate ice cream. It was very delicious. After that I played on the lawn with children. Children are cheerful and very cute. Then I went to the hill. Even though the weather was bad, I could see beautiful scenery. Although one month has passed since I came to Australia, I could see a lot of beautiful scenery. I only have one month leaving this beautiful country, but I want to go many places and spend meaningful time.

Hi, I am writing here to tell you how I am living in Australia these days. I go to Peter Moyes Anglican school. I am very happy to find people who speak kindly to me even though my English is not very good. During lunch time, I have lunch with 8 Australian friends in the school courtyard. They are all very energetic and cheerful and I have a lot of fun with them. Classes at school are difficult, but I manage to do my best by talking to the girl sitting next to me when I don't understand something.
On weekends, I often go out with my friends for fun and often go shopping. Last week, I went shopping with a girl I became friends with at school in Australia, and we had a lot of fun. She speaks very good English and also Japanese, so she is always helping me and I am very grateful to her! My favorite place to go shopping is an ice cream store called yo-chi in a shopping mall. There, you can choose your favorite flavor of ice cream and toppings, and you can make your own original ice cream cup. I love yo-chi because it looks so cute and tastes so good.
And last week, a swimming carnival was held at the school. It was a contest where students who were the best swimmers competed for the top places, and I had a lot of fun just watching. Our team didn't win, but I was very happy because we got the top in the cheering section. It was fun that we all took the bus to the beach. Besides swimming, but we also had outdoor activities and it was a very exciting day. We play badminton and tennis in the physical education class at school, and it is interesting and fun that the rules are slightly different from Japan's. There are a lot of matches, so it is very exciting to win. There are a lot of matches, so I am very happy when I win. I will do my best again next week.

It's been a month since I arrived. Getting much more comfortable than the first week, making friends, going somewhere far away. This week my new roommate arrived. He came from Fukuoka, Japan. He has only been here for ten days. He really couldn't understand a word, so I helped him a little to make conversation with the host family. I didn't want to rob him of his opportunity to speak English, but he was only 15 years old, so I suppose that's a fair reason to help. I mean, the last few days he and his family have been able to communicate a little with sign language, so it was good for him after all.
I made Japanese food with him for my host family. I decided to make teriyaki chicken and somen for them because I had brought a mentsuyu from Japan. But I had to make 6 dishes for all of us, so it was really hard. I asked them to buy chicken legs, but they bought chicken with bones. So I had to take the bones out and that was the hardest part of the cooking. But they really liked it and they're going to make me cook Japanese food again.
After a few days he had to leave the house and I went to send him to the meeting place. I was a bit famous there and his teacher even noticed my name. And he thanked me very much. It had been a long time since I had spoken to a Japanese adult.
After that day, I went to Perth Zoo with my friends. Before going to the zoo, I wanted to go to a restaurant that I went to 7 years ago. It was famous for its fish and chips. But only people over 18 could order food, so we left the restaurant sad. We had fun at the zoo. We made a rule to write a haiku in each animal's area and it was quite fun. But one thing I regret was that there wasn't a feeding area for the kangaroos. I did it 7 years ago in another zoo and I really liked it, so I might have to go to the exact same zoo I went to before. I don't know if my friends will come with me if we go to another zoo. I would think about it.

Hello! I will briefly introduce what I am doing in Australia. It is exciting and has lots of differences between Japan and Australia. Last time, I went to the Bell Tower which I was searching before going to Australia with my friend. It was amazing! The bell was very big and awesome. I put a picture of the bell so you can imagine how good it is. After that, I went walking with my friend. I went to King's Park which I was searching for before going to Australia too. It was awesome and good exercise. The temperature of Australia is changing each day. On this day, It was not so hot and comfortable. However, on another day, it was 43 degrees and was very hot. The sunshine was very strong and you will feel like your skin burns. It was hotter than Japan. If you want to go to Australia in summer, I do prefer not to go outside. Also, I ate a hamburger which is served in Australia for lunch. It was very delicious and was different between Japan and Australia. It was big and more salty. Also, it was very expensive. It costs almost 2000 yen to buy a set menu of hamburger and potatoes. I felt I should not go outside to eat lunch. At school, everybody is very kind and I shared an Instagram account with many students who are in Australia. I was very happy to be able to make friends at school in Australia. I have many assignments to work on more than Japan. At school, I have a philosophy class which is hard to understand but very interesting. Also, I have an outdoor education class and I went to a beach and did snorkeling. It was also my first time snorkeling and I was very nervous. However, it was comfortable and I was able to swim by myself. In March, I am going to go surfing. I am looking forward to go surfing. Also, I could decrease my resistance to going outside of Japan. Before studying abroad, I felt very nervous and anxious about going to Australia for a long time. However, the people in Australia are very kind and welcoming. My host family welcomed me and they were very kind.I was happy. I will study hard and I won’t lose this opportunity to improve my English skill.
