Valentine’s Day in Japan is a little different 🇯🇵
Girls usually give chocolates to guys 🍫
There’s
💝 Honmei choco (for someone special)
🎁 Giri choco (for friends or coworkers)

This week’s Cultural trivia is “Hanakin 華金”
In Japan, Friday night is called Hanakin, a moment to mark the end of the week by going out.
Many head straight to an izakaya after work—casual spots where you can drop in without a reservation.
A toast with coworkers or friends
—a small ritual to shift from work mode to relaxation.
The night often ends with shime ramen—a warm bowl enjoyed after drinks.
What’s your favourite thing to do on Friday?
Tell us about it in comments!🍺💃🕺

This week’s cultural trivia is 『もみじ狩り』
Momiji-gari🍁🍂✨
Momijigari refers to the tradition of going out in autumn
to enjoy the beautiful scenery of red and golden leaves
Although the word includes "gari" (which means "hunting"),
you don't actually pick anything-itsimply means " going out to seek and appreciate autumn leaves."
This tradition has been enjoyed since the Heian periods
and represents Japan's deep appreciation for seasonal beauty.
Which autumuscenery would you hike to see?🍂
