Just IN !

I was obviously late to the Charito Vergara party, having caught her on stage only earlier this year when she was in Manila for a visit.

We paid our final respects to IIlykata Hiroko yesterday at a wake that captured her bright spirit. Surrounded by her songs and the many people who loved her, it was a beautiful farewell. She was laid to rest today, we find comfort in our memories of her. You are forever in our hearts. 🌸

One of my most dedicated students, we will miss you. Here she is doing what she loved, right in the center, seen here holding the microphone.
