We were over the moon to host Mr. Alejandro Sela from JAOPS Inc. for an out-of-this-world presentation to our Space Club! From viewing exclusive lunar rover footage to diving deep into current mission operations, our students got a front-row seat to the future of space exploration. The session was packed with interactive quizzes and insightful questions from our budding scientists and future astronauts. Huge thanks to Mr. Sela for sparking so much curiosity and inspiration in our next generation of explorers! 🚀✨

From performative movie-watching to the in-and-outs of the secretive royal family, student journalists from the Class of 2026 have published something for everyone to read in The International. Read all about it at isshinternational.org, along with articles by juniors and underclassmen, as well. Here are some of our favorites from the Class of 2026:
Yuki has shared an article on a question that has long puzzled many: why does the Japanese Royal Family seem so much more secretive than other royal families? https://isshinternational.org/11731/viewpoint/why-is-the-japanese-royal-family-so-restrained/
Eloise's manifesto examines how the performative movement has led to the rise of the snob, looking down on others for “basic” interests. https://isshinternational.org/11812/viewpoint/dont-be-a-snob/
Karen (pictured above with junior Chinatsu) shares an article reflecting on her time at Sacred Heart and the cultural significance of the word “Shiodoki” to her. https://isshinternational.org/11885/viewpoint/finding-my-%e6%bd%ae%e6%99%82/
Linda warns about the dangers of AI overuse in her final feature article. She provides an informative study of the risks AI has already exposed us to, drawing on testimonies from ISSH students and survey data that show how AI has affected our community in particular. https://isshinternational.org/11850/features/the-hidden-costs-behind-ai-convenience/
Sarah and Mae have published their collaborative article on the rise of a new social media phenomenon titled “The Year of the Wasian”, in which Wasian (white and Asian) celebrities have abruptly risen in popularity- notable examples being Hudson Williams from Heated Rivalry, and Olympic gold-winning skater Alysa Liu. https://isshinternational.org/11739/arts-and-entertainment/its-your-year-wasian-girl/
Kayla gathers alumni testimonies to answer the question of what life looks like after Sacred Heart and how Sacred Heart has prepared them for different lifestyles all over the world. https://isshinternational.org/11866/people/hosh/does-sacred-heart-prepare-you-for-college/
Check them out!

Our Middle School basketball team has done it again! 📣 This weekend, ISSH hosted the Kanto Plain Middle School Basketball tournament, welcoming KIST, CAJ, Seisen, NIS, and ASIJ to campus to battle it out for the championship. 🏀 Our Symbas A Team first took a 34–28 win against the Seisen Phoenix in the semifinals, then grabbed the gold in a hard-fought game against the ASIJ Mustangs, winning 21–14. What a way to end a fantastic undefeated season for the A Team! 🦁💙🤍
