日本語教育の研究と実践に関わる数多くの論文・著書を発表され、日本事情教育や総合活動型日本語教育の展開、言語文化教育論の確立に寄与された、早稲田大学名誉教授の細川英雄先生に、自由と共創の言語文化教育についてお話をお伺いしました。

細川英雄（ほそかわ ひでお）
1949年東京都生まれ。1971年、早稲田大学文学部日本文学科卒業。1979年、早稲田大学大学院文学研究科博士課程単位取得退学（博士：教育学・早稲田大学）。早稲田大学文学部助手、信州大学教育学部講師、金沢大学教養部助教授、早稲田大学日本語研究教育センター助教授を経て、2001年、早稲田大学大学院日本語教育研究科教授。同研究科教務主任や、同研究科長、早稲田大学日本語教育センター長を務めた後、2013年、早稲田大学国際学術院名誉教授。同年、言語文化教育研究所八ヶ岳アカデメイア主宰。2014年、言語文化教育研究学会代表理事。日本語教育の研究と実践に関わる100を超える論文・著書を発表し、日本事情教育や総合活動型日本語教育の展開、言語文化教育論の確立に寄与した。また、早稲田大学大学院日本語教育研究科の設立にも携わり、多くの日本語教育実践者や研究者を育成した。1989年、ヨゼフ・ロゲンドルフ賞受賞。2004年、日本語教育学会奨励賞受賞。2021年、文化庁長官表彰受彰。
Hideo Hosokawa
Hideo Hosokawa was born in Tokyo in 1949. Graduated from Waseda University, School of Humanities and Social Sciences in 1971. Withdrawal from the doctoral program with the completion of course requirements in 1979. Received a doctor's degree from Waseda University Graduate School in 2001 and holds a PhD in Education. After working as an assistant in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Waseda University, a lecturer in the Faculty of Education at Shinshu University, and an assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at Kanazawa University, he became an assistant professor in the Center for Japanese Language at Waseda University in 2001. He was also in charge of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, the dean of the Graduate School, and the director of the Center for Japanese Language. In 2013, he became Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of International Research and Education at Waseda University. In the same year, he started presiding over Yatsugatake Academia, Language and Culture Education research institute. In 2014, he became the representative director of the Association for Language and Culture Education. He has published more than 100 papers and books related to the research and practice of Japanese language education. He contributed to developing Japanese affairs education, comprehensive activity-based Japanese language education, and establishing language and culture education theory. He was also involved in the establishment of the Waseda University Graduate
School of Japanese Applied Linguistics and trained many Japanese
language education instructors and researchers. In 1989, he received the Joseph Roggendorf Award. In 2004, he received the Encouragement Award of The Society for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language. In 2021, he received the Agency for Cultural Affairs Commissioner's Commendation.
