Sakura Valley Montessori Preschool Sakura Valley Montessori Preschool is an international preschool located in Tokyo, Japan.

We are a Montessori based international preschool located in Fukazawa (17 minute walk from both Sakurashinmachi station and Yoga station). As firm believers of the Montessori method, we provide the children with a nurturing and well-prepared environment to encourage independence, coordination and cooperation. We are currently accepting applications for our school year to enjoy days filled with fun and learning in English using the Montessori method!

💝 Valentine’s Week at Sakura Valley 💘

Last week was Valentine’s Week and we saw lots of hearts, red, pink and so many hugs and smiles! We spoke about love; between friends, family and classmates. We made Valentine’s cards 💌 for each other, friendship bracelets, practiced saying our thank yous, and ended the week with some cupcake baking 🧁 Needless to say we had a wonderful week filled with lots of L O V E 💕🥰

💝 さくらバリーのバレンタインウィーク 💘

先週はバレンタインウィークでした！教室はハートや赤・ピンクにあふれ、たくさんのハグと笑顔でいっぱいの一週間になりました。

お友だちや家族、クラスメイトとの「愛」についてお話ししながら、バレンタインカード💌を作ったり、フレンドシップブレスレットを作ったり、「ありがとう」を伝える練習もしました。

そして週の最後はカップケーキ作り🧁で締めくくり♪

たくさんの L O V E 💕🥰 に包まれた、とても素敵な一週間でした。

While we’re looking forward to the signs of spring, for now our days are filled with meaningful winter work: hands-on activities that nurture concentration, independence, and confidence ❄️

8/15 – Field Trip: Leo Lionni Exhibit 📚🎨

Our grand finale! The children explored the art of Leo Lionni, read A Color of My Own, and created characters to add to the exhibit wall. Afterward, we enjoyed a picnic at Sakura Stage.

2025年サマーアドベンチャーの最終日！🎉
今日はシブヤヒカリエで開催されたレオ・レオニ展に行きました。🖼️ オランダ生まれでイタリアやアメリカで活躍したレオニは、動物を主人公にした絵本を多く描きました。「じぶんだけのいろ」を読み、変化や友情について考えました。

展覧会では彼のオリジナル作品を鑑賞し、最後には自分のキャラクターを作って壁に飾りました🖍️🌈。その後は桜ステージでピクニックを楽しみ、帰りもスムーズで元気いっぱいに帰ってきました！

💖 今年の夏も本当にありがとうございました。9月からの新学期、または12月のウィンタースクールでお会いできるのを楽しみにしています！

We read The First Strawberries and learned about kindness. Then the children designed Aztec & Mayan-inspired sand art with incredible focus. Pool time with Mr. Lester was the best finale! 💦

今日は北・中央アメリカへ🌎！ アメリカ先住民チェロキー族の物語「The First Strawberries」を読み、優しさや思いやりについて考えました🍓。

その後、アステカやマヤ文明の歴史を学び、模様のデザインをカラフルな砂で表現しました🎨。細かい作業でしたが、子どもたちはとても集中して取り組み、美しい作品が出来上がりました。

午後はプールタイム！ 特別ゲストのレスター先生も登場し、「最高のプールタイム！」という声が飛び交いました🤣💦
