Voices of Selfmade Voices of Self-made Global Leadership Series with H.E. Marie Claire Mukasine, Ambassador of Rwanda to Japan 🇷🇼🇯🇵🌏

駐日ルワンダ大使、ムカシネ・マリー・クレール氏をお迎えし、Voices of Selfmade（VSM）Global Leadership Series の対談イベントを主催しました。

We were truly honored to host an inspiring event with H.E. Marie Claire Mukasine as part of the Voices of Selfmade Global Leadership Series—an initiative dedicated to connecting youth with global leaders and professionals who have charted their own remarkable paths.

Ambassador Mukasine shared insights from her extensive leadership journey in politics and diplomacy, as well as Rwanda’s powerful path of resilience and transformation. She highlighted how key sectors such as education and IT have developed through vision, integrity, and long-term thinking, and how Rwanda is now a leader in these fields.

She also reflected on Rwanda–Japan relations and the vital role of youth in shaping a peaceful, inclusive, and forward-looking world.

Global Leadership Series with H.E. Peter van der Vliet, Former Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Japan 🇳🇱🇯🇵🌍

We had the honor of hosting our first VSM Global Leadership Series with Ambassador Peter van der Vliet, the former Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Japan, who now serves as the Ambassador to South Korea.

Students from Japanese universities and high schools gathered for an inspiring dialogue with the Ambassador.

Drawing from his distinguished career as a diplomat—having served in countries such as India, the United States (New York), Jordan, and Switzerland—Ambassador van der Vliet shared powerful insights on leadership, values, and global cooperation.

He spoke about the importance of aligning our actions with our core values, and emphasized the need to embrace diverse perspectives when addressing global challenges like the Sustainable Development Goals. His words reminded us that unity is far stronger than division. He also encouraged us to pursue careers that not only spark our passions but also renew our energy—reminding us to follow our hearts in all that we do.

We are deeply grateful to Ambassador van der Vliet and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for making this extraordinary event possible.

VSMグローバル・リーダーシップ・シリーズ にて、前駐日オランダ王国大使であり、現在は駐韓国オランダ王国大使を務める ピーター・ファン・デル・フリート大使をお迎えしました。

当日は、日本の大学生や高校生が集まり、大使との対話を通じて多くの学びと刺激を得ることができました。

インド、アメリカ（ニューヨーク）、ヨルダン、スイスなど、多様な国々での豊富な外交経験を背景に、大使はリーダーシップ、価値観、そして国際協力に関する力強いメッセージを伝えてくださいました。

大使は、私たちの行動を自らの核となる価値観と一致させることの重要性や、SDGsのようなグローバル課題に取り組む際に異なる視点を理解し受け入れる姿勢の大切さを強調されました。その言葉は、分断ではなく団結にこそ力があることを思い出させてくれました。さらに、大使は「情熱をかき立てるだけでなく、自分のエネルギーを取り戻せるようなキャリアを追求し、常に心の声に従って挑戦してほしい」と励ましのメッセージを送ってくださいました。

このような貴重な機会を実現してくださったファン・デル・フリート大使、そして在日オランダ王国大使館に心より感謝申し上げます。

Global Leadership Series with H.E. Melba Pria, Ambassador of Mexico to Japan 🇲🇽🇯🇵🌏

We had the honor of hosting an event with Ambassador Melba Pria, the Ambassador of Mexico to Japan.

Students from Japanese universities, along with young professionals and entrepreneurs from both the public and private sectors, joined us for this inspiring session.

Ambassador Pria shared her remarkable journey as a diplomat and leader, with experiences spanning Japan, Indonesia, India, Israel, and her extensive service within the Government of Mexico.

Her powerful words encouraged us to challenge the status quo, embrace new opportunities, and open doors not only for ourselves but also for others. She emphasized that cultivating a global mindset begins from within—and that even from Japan, we can prepare ourselves to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

We are sincerely grateful to Ambassador Pria and the Embassy of Mexico in Tokyo for making this event possible.

先日、メルバ・プリーア駐日メキシコ大使をお迎えし、グローバルリーダーシップシリーズイベントを開催しました。

日本の大学生や若手社会人・起業家の方々が集まり、大使の力強くインスパイアリングなお話に耳を傾けました。

日本、インドネシア、インド、イスラエルなどで培われた豊富な経験をもとに、大使は、

・現状に挑戦すること

・新しいチャンスを恐れずに受け入れること

・自分だけでなく他者のためにも扉を開くこと

の大切さを語ってくださいました。

さらに、グローバルな視野は日本にいながらも育むことができる、というメッセージは多くの参加者に大きな勇気を与えました。
