Once upon a time when Lake Tazawa was still called Tazawa Lagoon, there was an arrestingly beautiful woman names Tatsuko. Tatsuko wished to retain her beauty and youthfulness forever, and she secretly made a wish to the Okura Kannon, Deity of Mercy, day after day.

On the night of the fulfillment of her wish, she was told that her wish would come true if she drank water from a spring in the north.
Tatsuko left home alone and followed a path through deep forests beyond the mountain until she came upon a clear spring among streaming moss and rock. She was so pleased, and she scooped some water into her hand and drank it, but for some reason she became thirstier and thirstier.
Time passed, and Tatsuko found herself became into large dragon.
Tatsuko became the guardian spirit of Tazawa Lagoon and sank to the bottom of the lake.

Tatsuko's mother, anxious for her daughter's return, arrived at the shore of Tazawa Lagoon and, saddened to find that her daughter had turned into a dragon, threw away a piece of firewood that had been used as a torch, which turned into a fish and swam away. It was later called Kunimasu (trout), and was only found in Lake Tazawa.

Now, Hachirotaro, who created Hachiro Lagoon on the Oga Peninsula and became its guardian, spends the winter every year around the autumnal equinox visiting his girlfriend Tatsuko at Lake Tazawa, so that Hachiro Lagoon without its guardian freezes over and Lake Tazawa, where the two dragon gods live, is known as the lake that never freezes during winter.

Interesting story right? 😊. Leave a comment, about your thoughts 🤔😍

JENESYS2020 Youth Sports Online Exchange Program🏈🥇

Group F: Alista, Eaint, Kong, Muhammad, Nguyen, Sedeligia, Yasia.
Coordinator Group F: Ms. Namie.

DAY 3 : ENJOY TAMBO ( RICE PADDY) RUGBY and REDUCING SPORTS DISORDERS IN GROWING ATHLETES.

On our third day of JENESYS Youth Sports Online Exchange Program event, we had two lectures on the topic of TAMBO (RICE PADDY) RUGBY🏈🌾🌾 and REDUCING SPORTS DISORDERS IN GROWING ATHLETES by Mr. Manabe Hiroshi, Mr. Nakayama Ace, and Dr. Ozeki Nobutake.

Here is some information that we got from our first lecture by Mr. Manabe Hiroshi and Mr. Nakayama Ace.

Tambo Rugby 🌾🏈is a Japanese form of tag rugby played in flooded rice fields. It is played by men and women, adults and children together. Smaller, lighter players tend to sink in the mud😄🤗. A simple TRY is worth one point, a Diving Try is worth two points🎉.

Playing TAMBO RUGBY will bring us the following: understand farming, become more athletic, adults get a chance to enjoy as kids, enhancement of our team work skills ,etc…

We also got some information about Ukiha and Fukuoka City, and hopefully one day all of our group members will get the chance to visit the city and play Tambo Rugby there.🍀📍

On our second lecture which was about REDUCING SPORTS DISORDERS IN GROWING ATHLETES by Dr. Ozeki Nobutake , we learnt about some common sports injuries, such as Runner’s Knees, Shoulder Injury, Achilles Tendinitis, Concussion, Ankle Sprain, Tennis Elbow, Pulled Muscle, Groin Strain, Shin Splints, Lower Back Pain, etc…

We also learnt about preventing throwing disorders(in growing athletes), basic lifesaving procedure using AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and the treatments.

Our gratitude🙏🤗 to Mr. Manabe Hiroshi, Mr. Nakayama Ace, and Dr. Ozeki Nobutake for all you have taught us today, we will never forget and truly appreciate.❤️

Online Exchange Program JENESYS 2020 (Rugby) - Day 2 🏈🤩

こんにちは from Group F!

Day 2 was filled with meaningful and interesting topics, thanks to our lectures, Ms. Noguchi Aya, Co-Director of S.C.P Japan, former professional football player and Ms. Inoue Yuiko, Co-Director of S.C.O Japan.

We participated in enjoyable activities to raise our awareness in Gender in sports and Safe-guarding. The session gave us more insights into gender equality reinforcement in sports, the history of modern sports, and how to safe-guard ourselves from sexual harassment that might occur. The event also provided us the opportunity to represent our countries to speak up about issues related to gender equality in sport domestically.

Two aspects of gender issues in sports include:
🏈 Fairness and Equality
🏈 Ideology and Power

Overall, it was an engrossing and informative session. We look forward to participating in Day 3 and 4!!

We are from Group F of the JENESYS2022 Online Exchange Program of Youth Sports Exchange (Rugby)

This is the 1st day of our JENESYS Online Program! 😍🥳

We are definitely excited and psyched to be a part of this Online Exchange Program! Today we had a chance to learn and understand more about the JENESYS program of the JAPAN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION CENTER! 🤩🤩

Mr. Mukoyama Masatoshi, Associate Professor of Ryukyu Keizai University and former rugby player of Japan’s national team, gave us an in-depth and insightful lecture on the Educational Values of Rugby Football. 🤯🤯🤯

A big thanks to our group coordinator Ms. Namie-San for providing guidance for us! 🥰😘
