The stories began like this

I was interested in meeting foreigners back university, giving them a short tour and learning their culture in Taipei city. "外國文化(foreign cultures)" is part of key element that I want to connect with, so every now and then I was searching jobs related to it. And it is also the main reason that I got the chance to teach since 2017.

When it comes to educate kids at the countryside, it's also part of thing that they can think more when seeing people in front of you, delivering questions out of the curiosity. I was lucky to send to a very small county in 2015, I established a project that foreigners visited the school at countryside. A Finnish girl who was participating a cultural project which connected with a farming association(四健會). These junior high students couldn't really speak English, and I would be the cultural bridge to translate their questions.

Several year ago, one of girl ever sent messages and telling me she was impressed that a young leader would love to introduce them some culture aspect at her teenager hood.

I appreciated those memories !

It's time to delete these recording, tired but I also feel happy about these meaningful moments to create with my students.

One of student learned book 6 non-stop from last year. I was not remembering when we started but somehow another 10 chapters have completed. I think passing the TOCFL exam isn't my main value to insist in this language teaching path, it's rather to share social values and to lead students to discuss more in targeted language.

I’ve been waiting to discover this mysterious destination for long , and finally made it. It was also a pleasure to teach Nepalese student and I got some advices from her. Thanks for all foreigners visiting and staying in Taiwan, you are truly shining the diversity in our society.

Sometimes people see only a short video and make assumptions about a teacher. Behind every lesson, however, there are years of study, preparation, and continuous learning.

Before becoming a full-time language teacher, I invested over 1,000 hours in professional training, followed by another 1,000+ hours developing lesson materials. I also enjoy attending teaching seminars, reading academic research, and exploring new approaches to language education.

I hold a Master's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. Throughout my graduate studies, conducting research, writing academic papers, and reading linguistic studies in both Chinese and English were part of everyday life. That experience shaped how I design lessons today—not just to teach vocabulary and grammar, but to help students communicate naturally and confidently.

If you have chance to visit Sun Moon Lake the largest lake in central Taiwan, and it’s definitely worth to visit this factory in Puli, for the 30 minutes tour , you learn how the paper 📄 made from wood pulp.

Nantou county is beautiful surrounded by mountains, and you can see many tea plantation which offers best black tea in Taiwan.

Low cost budget travel in Taipei

- take U-bike from nearby Gongguan / Ximen metro station 🚉 , and drive all the way to north along the riverside. It costs 1-2 USD by public rental station. The best view time is about 5-7pm.

- if it’s not so late yet, then take a stroll in ancient town of Beimen, which gathers all tea and Chinese medicine shop. You can also wish for a good date in famous temple #霞海城隍廟 You can have glimpse for our past 200 years history within 1-2 hours.

Welcome to join us for next level!
In this 15hours , we have completed pronunciation drill, easy phrase naming the things , colors and quantifiers. Thanks for 3 students from Philippine and India. It was quite please to initiate this lesson plan. I've been thinking to teach Chinese without Chinese characters, same as my experience to learn Thai. Speak and listen firstly, and it works!

Join us with small group of practices and learn 2.5 hours / week with steady progress.

The news-based Mandarin materials are ready! Preparing these lessons is one of my favorite parts of teaching.

When I studied French at the A2 level, I was surprised that we could already discuss social issues in class. It showed me a different approach to language learning. In Mandarin, meaningful discussions about current events usually begin around the B2 level, and often only if teachers introduce authentic news materials.

I believe learning a language is more than memorizing vocabulary and grammar. It's about understanding the society behind the language through real-world issues, culture, and current events.

If you'd like to expand your Mandarin news vocabulary, strengthen your discussion skills, and explore Taiwanese society through authentic news topics, this course is for you.

The course will start once the minimum number of students has enrolled.
