Café Global is an event and a space for Japanese students to fulfill their desire to speak more English on campus. It has been organized by the International Office since 2022. This is year, in cooperation with Kouyukai, JNU's Alumni Association, we held a collaborative event called "Cooking and Dining Event with International Students." We invited a Chinese student (Mr. Liu) to cook three Chinese dishes, such as mapo tofu, chicken wings braised in cola, and rice porridge. To our surprise, nearly 30 students joined the event and enjoyed authentic Chinese cuisine. At the event, students were excited to take part in a taste-testing session comparing authentic mapo tofu made by Mr. Liu with a ready-to-eat version.
