The MEXT 2027 Research Scholarship (Kenya) has a clear timeline — and you must follow it strictly.

From the official notice :

Key Dates:
• Applications open: April 20, 2026
• Deadline: May 19, 2026 (4:30 PM)
• Exams: July 10, 2026
• Interviews: July 13, 2026

Selection Flow:
• Primary screening (Kenya): July
• Secondary screening (Tokyo): Oct–Nov
• Final results: January 2027
• Departure: April or September 2027

Important requirements:
• must be under 35
• must have Bachelor’s (or higher)
• research must be related to your previous field
