Despite the gloomy weather, Rodolfo CG. Fariñas Jr. National Science High School (RFNSHS), led by School Principal Dr. Hamilton C. Remigio, warmly welcomed incoming students and newly appointed teachers on the first day of the opening block.
In his message to students gathered on the school grounds, Dr. Remigio emphasized the value of discipline in achieving success. “𝘼𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙮 𝙣𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙝𝙪𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙙𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖; 𝙠𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝙠𝙖, 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙪𝙣𝙡𝙖𝙙 𝙠𝙖 𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙤,” he said, stressing that academic excellence must go hand in hand with good character.
The convocation was also graced by Mr. Arsendio A. Cabacungan, Education Program Supervisor of the School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD), who showed his support for the school community and delivered an inspirational message.
A highlight of the program was the oath-taking of the newly elected Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officers. Before formally assuming their responsibilities, the student leaders led a lively Zumba session and an interactive game, adding energy and camaraderie to the event.
The program also featured the introduction of the teaching staff and a warm welcome for newly added faculty members who will support the school in the year ahead.
With messages of encouragement from the administration and active student leadership, RFNSHS officially opened the block with a renewed commitment to academic excellence and character formation.

"𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧" is alive and well at Rodolfo C.G. Fariñas Jr. National Science High School (RFNSHS)!
Today, we officially kicked off our week-long Brigada Eskwela, and the energy on campus was truly inspiring. From weeding and sweeping to carrying materials, wiping surfaces, and deep cleaning, our students, teachers, parents, student leaders, and community volunteers united with 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹:𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚, 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨.🤝🧹🏫✨🎒
Before we began the Brigada proper, we held a short kick-off program that included a symbolic Pledge of Commitment and a wall-signing activity. Our Principal, Dr. Hamilton C. Remigio, delivered encouraging remarks that set the tone for the day's activities, emphasizing the importance of shared responsibility in creating a safe and learner-friendly environment. This was followed by an inspiring message of support from our SPTA President, who reaffirmed the parents' commitment to working hand in hand with the school and the community in advancing the welfare and success of every RFNSHS learner. Stakeholders then affirmed their commitment to supporting the school throughout the year—a meaningful moment that sealed our collective dedication to our learners' well-being.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed up and generously gave their time and effort on Day 1. Special thanks to the barangay officials and staff of Brgy. 55-C Vira, led by Hon. Wilbert B. Salvador, for their unwavering support and hands-on assistance.
Our SSLG officers also demonstrated volunteerism and servant leadership by actively assisting in the program and clean-up activities, inspiring fellow learners to embody the spirit of bayanihan.
We have kicked off strongly, and activities will continue throughout the week. Volunteers and donations are still welcome—come lend a hand as we support our learners and help shape a brighter future.🤝💪🧹
