今回のポイントは、
「八面出鋒」

筆は、いつも同じ面で書くものではありません。

同じ場所だけを使っていると、
どうしても線が平板になっていく。

だから私は、
次の線へ移る瞬間に
まだ使っていない筆の面を使う。

動画では指で
「次はここを使う」と示しています。

そして面を切り替える、その一瞬。

筆に空気を入れる。

すると墨の含み方が変わり、
潤った線から一転、
意図的なカスレをつくることができる。

ただ書くのではなく、
どの面で、どの角度で、どれだけ墨を残して書くか。

八面出鋒とは、
筆の全面を使いながら
一本一本の線質を変化させていく筆法。

一本の筆なのに、
何本もの筆を持ち替えているような線が出る。

潤から渇へ。
太から細へ。
重から軽へ。

その切り替えを一瞬でやる。

少し大げさに言えば、
これはMOMENTSHOの
必殺奥義のひとつ🔥

Today’s key technique is called
Hachimen Shuppō — using every side of the brush.

If you keep writing with the same part of the brush, the strokes can become flat and monotonous.

So before moving into the next stroke,
I intentionally shift to a part of the brush that has not yet been used.

In the video, I even point to the exact section of the brush I want to use next.

And at that very moment,
I let a little air enter the bristles.

That small action changes the ink flow and allows me to create intentional dry-brush texture — kasure.

Wet to dry.
Thick to thin.
Heavy to light.

One brush can produce countless different expressions.

Use every side of the brush.
Change the surface.
Change the stroke.

That is one of the secret weapons behind MOMENTSHO. 🔥

MOMENTSHO 墨のつけ方
熱血アドバイス編‼️

第一画は、書く前から始まっている🔥

たっぷり墨を含ませた筆を
毛先を下にしてまっすぐ立てると……

せっかく含ませた墨が
どんどん下へ落ちてしまう💦

そこで‼️

筆を横向きにする。
もしくは毛先を少し上向きにして構える。

そうすれば、墨をたっぷり含んだ状態のまま
第一画へ入れる‼️

そして墨入れも大事。

深い容器よりも
浅くて広い「洗面器」がおすすめ‼️

筆に墨を含ませやすく、
起筆まで墨をキープしやすい🔥

書く前の「角度」と「道具」。
ここでもう、線は変わっています。

The first stroke begins before the brush touches the paper.

If you hold a fully loaded brush vertically with the tip pointing down, the ink will quickly run toward the tip and drip away.

Instead, hold the brush sideways, or keep the tip slightly raised.

This helps the brush retain plenty of ink right up until the moment you begin the first stroke.

And one more important tip:

For large brushes, I recommend a wide, shallow basin rather than a deep container.

Angle. Ink. Tools.
A powerful stroke begins before you even touch the paper. 🔥

しんにょうに入る手前で、
一度、筆を振る。

そして「受け」でも、
もう一度、筆を振る。

振ることで筆先が開く。
その開いた筆の巾を、
そのまま線の太さに変える。

でも、大事なのは
ただ筆を開くだけじゃない。

開く。
太く走る。
そして、閉じる。

この
「開く → 使う → 閉じる」
までのリズムが線に表情を生む。

太い線は、力任せに書くんじゃない。
筆の形を一瞬で変えて、巾を操る。

最終画は「払う」な。「切れ。」

最後の一画。
ただ勢いよく払えばいいわけではない。

ポイントは——
筆管を進行方向へ倒す。

筆を立てたまま抜くのではなく、
進む方向へ筆管を倒しながら、
穂先を紙に効かせる。

そして最後は、
スーッと流して終わるのではなく、

「切る」ように抜く。

すると線の終わりに
スピードと緊張感、
そしてMOMENTSHOらしい鋭さが生まれる。

一画の最後まで、気を抜かない。

収筆ひとつで、文字は変わる。

筆管の角度。
筆圧。
スピード。
そして——切る。

これが今回の

Don’t just sweep the final stroke. CUT through it.

For the final stroke, tilt the brush handle in the direction of movement.

Don’t simply let the brush slide away.
Keep the tip engaged with the paper—and finish with a sharp, cutting motion.

Angle. Pressure. Speed. And CUT.

That final movement creates tension, energy, and a powerful finish.

One final stroke can change the entire character.

玄石✖️梅径
コラボMOMENTSHO

最後は「独立」。

「何を書こうか。」

その答えは自然とこの二文字でした。

独立とは、
誰かと違うことではありません。

自分の信じる線で、
自分の道を歩くこと。

だから私は、
“独り立つ”という意味も
重ねて筆を運びました。

最後の一枚に込めたのは、
終わりではなく始まり。

これからも、
自分だけの一線を追い続けます。

The final work: “Dokuritsu” (Independence).

When we asked ourselves,
“What should we write for the last piece?”

The answer came naturally.

Independence isn’t about being different.
It’s about walking your own path with confidence.

Every brushstroke carries that belief.

The last piece…
is actually the first step toward the future.

玄石✖️梅径
コラボMOMENTSHO

高知MOMENTSHO 第4弾『鰹』

高知を代表する味覚といえば、
やはり鰹。

今回は同じテーマに挑戦しながら、
二人が思い描いた鰹はまったく違いました。

梅径がイメージしたのは、
料理を引き立てるかつお節。

削り節のように繊細で軽快な線を重ね、
香りや旨味まで表現するような筆づかい。
一方、玄石が描いたのは、
高知名物鰹のたたき。

炎で炙った豪快さ、
力強い食感、
迫力ある筆勢で表現しました。

同じ「鰹」という一文字でも、
感性が変われば作品も変わる。

それぞれの個性が交差することで、
一文字の可能性はさらに広がります。

それが、MOMENTSHOです。

あなたはどっち派？

同じ「鰹」でも、表現はまったく違う。

KOCHI MOMENTSHO Vol.4 – Bonito

When people think of Kochi,
they think of bonito.

But we imagined it in two completely different ways.

Baikei expressed dried bonito flakes—
light, delicate, and full of refined flavor.

Genseki expressed Kochi’s famous seared bonito (Katsuo Tataki)—
bold, smoky, and powerful.

One character.
Two different visions.

This is the beauty of MOMENTSHO.
