🪼千里丘校Jellyfish：How do I look⁉️

グローバルヴィレッジには、毎月、学習テーマがあり、テーマに沿った遊びやアクティビティを行っています😎

4月の”All about me”というテーマに沿って、Jellyfishクラスでは自分のことを知ったり、自分を表現する時間を設けました👭
粘土を使って自分を作るアクティビティでは、個性が光る作品が出来上がりました💖

粘土を丸くこねて自分の顔を丸くしてみたり、四角くしてみたり、はたまた好きな形にしてその上にカラフルなマカロニを髪の毛やひげ、口に見立てたり、ボタンを目や鼻に見立てて使うなど自由に自分を表現しました👀👃👄

好きな色を選ぶ時には、”I like pink!”や”I like blue!”、“I want purple”など、友達や先生に自分の好きな色をしっかり伝えることができます😊
完成すると、お互いに「自分の姿」を見せ合っていました‼️
Jellyfishの子ども達は、作品を見て欲しい時も”Look! Look!”や”Picture, please!”など、元気に声掛けをしてくれます✨

自由な自己表現を大切にしながら、毎日過ごしています🩷

Each month, we have a learning theme and enjoy games and activities connected to that theme.

In April, our theme was “All About Me,” and the children in the Jellyfish class spent time learning about themselves and expressing who they are.
During an activity where they created themselves using clay, many unique and creative works were made.

Some children rolled the clay into round faces, while others made square faces or chose their own favorite shapes. They freely expressed themselves by using colorful macaroni as hair, beards, or mouths, and buttons as eyes and noses.

When choosing their favorite colors, the children confidently shared their preferences with their teachers and friends, saying things like, “I like pink!”, “I like blue!”, and “I want purple!”
Once they finished their creations, they happily showed their “selves” to one another. The children in Jellyfish class also enthusiastically call out, “Look! Look!” or “Picture, please!” whenever they want others to admire their work.

We spend each day valuing and encouraging the children’s free self-expression!

🐛山田校Caterpillars：Writing Readiness✏️

書くことへの自信やスキルを育てることは、子どもが初めてワークブックを開くずっと前から始まっています😊

Caterpillarsクラスでは、指先の運動能力を育てたり、線や形を描くことへの興味を引き出したりするために、さまざまな活動を行っています。今回のWritingレッスンでは、子どもたちは3つの異なるアクティビティを順番に体験しました3️⃣

1つ目は、指先の運動能力を育てるアクティビティです👋
トングを使ってポンポンを移動させたり、ブロックを分類したり、ボトルのふたの穴に慎重につまようじを通したり、クリップをつまんだりして、指先の器用さを養いました✊✌️✋
子どもたちは色を合わせることにもとても集中していました✨

2つ目のアクティビティでは、大きな模造紙とクレヨンを使って、自由にたくさんの線や絵を描きました🖍️
子どもたちはクリエイティビティを発揮するのが大好きで、「Look, a rainbow!（見て、虹だよ！）」「I made a rabbit!（うさぎを描いたよ！）」と楽しそうに見せてくれました🌈🐰

3つ目のアクティビティでは、キャタピラー（いもむし）作りに挑戦しました🐛
子どもたちは、キャタピラーの顔を描き、嬉しい顔や悲しい顔など、さまざまな表情を選んでいました☺️☹️
みんな、とても素敵なキャタピラーを作ることができました‼️

Developing the confidence and skills for writing starts much earlier than the first time a child opens a handwriting workbook!

In Caterpillars class, we do lots of different activities to build fine motor skills and encourage interest in making marks and shapes. In this Writing lesson, the children took turns exploring three different stations!

The first was a selection of fine motor skills activities such as using tongs to move pom-poms, sorting blocks, carefully placing toothpicks through a bottle lid, and pinching clips to build finger dexterity. The students focus very hard on matching the colors!

The second station was a giant piece of butcher paper and crayons to freely make marks all over the paper. The children love to use their creativity, telling the teachers “Look, a rainbow!” “I made a rabbit!”

The third station was making our own paper caterpillars! The children drew faces for their caterpillars by themselves, choosing expressions such as happy or sad. The Caterpillars did a great job creating their own caterpillars!

🍅Tomato Planting 2026🌱

今年も恒例のトマトの鉢植えを行いました🪴
手順は、最後の写真をご参照ください📸
（千里丘校のデイケアでポスターも作りました👍🏻）

グローバルヴィレッジでは、毎年ゴールデンウィーク明けにトマトの鉢植えを行っており、土と触れ合い、水やりなどのお世話を通して自分で責任をもって育てることを身に着けていきます😊

子ども達がどんどん成長するのとともに、トマトの成長も楽しみです🍅

秋にはチューリップを植える予定です🌷
そちらもお楽しみに～🥳

We did our annual tomato planting again this year!

(Our daycare children at the Senrioka school made a poster about the process!)
At Global Village, we plant tomatoes every year after Golden Week. Through hands-on experiences with soil and caring for the plants by watering them, the children learn how to take responsibility for nurturing something on their own.
Just as the children continue to grow each day, we are also excited to watch the tomatoes grow alongside them.
In the fall, we are planning to plant tulips as well.
Please look forward to that too!

🦋山田校Butterflies：スプラウトの成長観察🌱

月の学習テーマ『Growing things（成長するもの）』に沿って、Butterfliesクラスではスプラウトの成長を観察を始めました🌱

まずは自分だけの植木鉢づくりからスタート🏁
マーカーやシールを使って、思い思いにカラフルなデザインを楽しみました🥳

植木鉢が完成したあとは、底に敷いたキッチンペーパーをスポイトでやさしく湿らせ、スプラウトの種をまきました🌱
最後に種にも丁寧にお水をあげて準備完了です👏

これから毎日お水をあげながら、少しずつ変化していく様子を観察していきます📝
どんな芽が出てくるのか、みんな楽しみにしています‼️

Following the monthly learning theme, “Growing Things,” the Butterflies class has begun observing the growth of sprouts.
First, the children started by making their very own flower pots. Using markers and stickers, they enjoyed creating colorful designs in their own unique styles.
After completing their pots, they carefully used droppers to gently moisten the kitchen paper placed at the bottom, and then planted the sprout seeds.
Finally, they gave the seeds some water, and everything was ready to grow.
From now on, the children will water the seeds every day and observe the small changes as they grow little by little. Everyone is excited to see what kinds of sprouts will appear!

🐬高槻校Dolphins：Blooming with creativity💐

春の訪れとともに、Dolphinsの子ども達のクリエイティビティも満開です💐
カップケーキ型やアイス棒、キラキラパーツにポンポンを使ってカラフルな花を作りました🌷

作品ができあがると、教室がとても華やかになり、子ども達も自分たちの作品に満足げな様子でした😊

子ども達一人ひとりが、クリエイティビティを発揮し、アートを通して自身を表現する姿が見られうれしく思います🩷

Good job, Dolphins‼️

Spring has sprung, and the Dolphins’ creativity is in full bloom. The children made colorful flowers using cupcake holders, popsicle sticks, shiny gems, and mini pom poms. The classroom turned into a garden of imagination and the children had so much fun creating their own unique design. We love watching our little learners bring creativity into the classroom and expressing themselves through craft.

🦅千里丘Eagles: All About Me🦅

千里丘校Eaglesクラスでは、私たちの体の外面と内面に着目しました👭
大きな模造紙の上に寝ころんで、友達の体をトレースしましました🖍️
どの子も慎重にきれいに描こうと努力する姿が見られました😊👍🏻

トレースが終わって、形どった模造紙を見ると笑いが起こりました😆
体の型をとったあとは、それぞれの部位をラベルし、大きな絵本を作る予定にしています📖

また、Eaglesクラスでは動物園にも着目し、どんな動物が飼育されているのかを確認しました🐼🐒🐘
ブロックを使って作った動物園を肉食動物・草食動物・雑食動物にゾーン分けし、「on, in, from, to, at」などの前置詞を使って動物を別のゾーンへ案内しました🌱🍖

子ども達はどの動物が一緒に暮らせるかを知り、中には「この動物が肉食って知らなかった！」と驚く声も挙がりました🫢

みんな、動物園の仕上がりが誇らしかったようです😎

In the Eagles class we were looking at our bodies, inside and outside. The children had a great time drawing around each other on large pieces of paper and we all tried our best to stay very still to make the drawings as good as possible.

When the children finished we all laughed together and enjoyed the exciting shapes that we had drawn. The children will continue by labelling the different body parts and we will make a large flip book of all the different children to share together in the coming days.

In the Eagles we also looked at the zoo and which different types of animals can live together there. We made different sections of our zoo, one for carnivores, one for herbivores and one for omnivores. Then we used prepositions to direct our friends around the different sections of the zoo.

The children were excited to see which different animals would stay together and many were surprised saying “Wow, I did not know that this animal was a carnivore!”

In the end the children were really proud of the final result and wanted to share what they had made with their teachers.

🎏山田校Ducksクラス：Koinobori Parade🎏

Ducksクラスでは、こどもの日に向けて『鯉のぼり』を作りました😊
ペットボトルのキャップを使って、赤・黄・白・青のペイントをスタンプして鯉の部分を作り、最後に目を付けて旗のように仕上げました🫟🖌️

できあがった素敵な鯉のぼりをみんなに見せるため、BearsクラスやCaterpillarsクラスを訪れ、パレードを行いました🎏
見てくれたお兄ちゃん・お姉ちゃんたちも「Awesome！」とほめてくれました✨

教室に戻って、鯉のぼりの歌を歌いながら活動を締めくくりました🩷
Ducksは、みんなに鯉のぼりを見てもらえて嬉しそうでした😍

We made Koinoboris for Childrens’ Day by using bottle caps to stamp our flags with red, yellow, white, and blue paint. Afterwards we stuck on our eyes and made them into flags.

Then we went on a parade to show off our beautiful Koinoboris! We even ventured upstairs to visit the Bears and Caterpillars classes. They all said our Koinoboris were awesome!

Once we got back in the classroom we waved our flags to the Koinobori song as our finale.

The Ducks had a lot of fun going around and showing their Koinoboris to everyone! We hope everyone enjoys their Children' s Day!

🐒高槻校Monkeys🌸

あたたかい春を迎え、高槻校のMonkeysクラスでは、春をテーマに花のクラフトに挑戦しました🌸

緑の紙をビリビリと破り、茎と葉っぱを準備しました🌱
紙を”破る”作業は、指先のよいトレーニングにもなります👋
大きく破ったり、小さくしてみたり、長いものを作ったり、子ども達は試行錯誤しながら、とても集中して取り組んでくれました😊
また、紙を破ると”I did it!”と笑顔で見せてくれました✨

つぎは事前にペイントした花や茎、葉をのりで貼り付けました💐
子ども達は思い思いに茎や葉を大きく伸ばしていました👍🏻
最後には、個性豊かでカラフルな可愛らしいお花が出来上がりました💖
教室の前に飾り、クラスが一段と華やかになりました♪

季節や月の学習テーマに沿って様々なクラフトを楽しんでいます😊
次はどんな作品を作るか、子ども達もとても楽しみにしてくれています🩷
Good job! Monkeys!!

As the warm spring season arrived, the Monkeys class at the Takatsuki school enjoyed making flower crafts inspired by spring.
First, the children tore green paper into pieces to prepare the stems and leaves.
The action of tearing paper is also a great way to strengthen fine motor skills.
The children stayed very focused as they experimented with making big pieces, small pieces, and long strips of paper through trial and error.
Whenever they successfully tore the paper, they proudly showed us their work with big smiles, saying, “I did it!”
Next, they used glue to attach the flowers, stems, and leaves that they had painted beforehand.
Each child creatively arranged the stems and leaves in their own unique way, extending them in different directions.
In the end, the children created colorful and adorable flowers full of individuality.
We displayed the artwork in front of the classroom, making the class feel even brighter and more cheerful.
We enjoy a variety of crafts throughout the year based on the seasons and monthly learning themes.
The children are already excited to see what kind of creations they will make next.
