ART BASE 百島とは、尾道市の離島百島に、12年間眠っていた廃校を再生させた地域とアーティストの共同体によるアートセンターです。ART BASEを核として、島全体が芸術作品のように、小さくても環境と共生する生命体のように、そして元来日本人が持続可能で高度な文化を有していたよう真に知的な島として芸術を介してメッセージを発していきたいと活動しています。

ART BASE MOMOSHIMA is an Art center located on a small island called Momoshima, Onomichi, Hiroshima in what used to be a jr. It was renovated with the aim of rejuvenating the island of Momoshima through art and artistic

practice. ART BASE now includes gallery spaces, permanent art installations, studio spaces, and a cafe. We are active in the surrounding community and with various artists.
