Good afternoon, Pacific South District families.

We hope this email finds you safe and doing well following the storm.

We have entered ALL CLEAR. All Pacific South District schools will resume normal operations on Wednesday, 03 June 2026. Staff and students should report as usual.

We look forward to seeing everyone and finishing the school year strong.

We are currently in TCCOR 1E. All Pacific South District schools in Okinawa will be closed for students and staff on Tuesday, 02 June 2026.

Families and school staff will be informed as soon as we have updated information to share regarding when school operations will resume.

Good evening, Pacific South District families.

We are currently in TCCOR 2. While in TCCOR 2, all Pacific South District schools plan to operate following our normal schedules on Monday, 01 June 2026.

We are working closely with our installation partners to monitor weather conditions. Should TCCOR 1 be declared before 0500, school will be closed for all students and school level staff. We will inform families and staff as soon as possible of changes.

We encourage individuals to continue monitoring weather updates and follow installation guidance.

Current weather forecasts indicate Okinawa may experience its first typhoon of the season early next week.

We wanted to take this opportunity to remind families how DoWEA school operations are impacted at Tropical Cyclone Conditions of Readiness (TCCOR) 1, 1C, 1E, 1R and Storm Watch. DoWEA Pacific South District communicates changes to school operations in partnership with the installations we serve.

This week, we had the honor of welcoming our new DoWEA Director, Mr. Paul Craft, to Bob Hope Elementary School. During his visit on Monday, he spent time in classrooms interacting with teachers and students while learning more about our school community. Joining him were Ms. Rapp, Pacific Region Director, and Dr. Hayes, Superintendent. They shared how impressed they were with the meaningful learning taking place and how engaged our students were throughout the building.

Good morning, Shisa Famiyl!

Due to testing this week there has been a slight change in lunch times for two of our grade levels.

If you plan on attending (the second to LAST) Family Friday Lunch TODAY, please see the attached flyer for the most up to date lunch times. This change will only be in effect for Family Friday Lunch on May 8, 2026.

The last Family Friday Lunch on May 15, 2026, will resume our normal schedule.
