10月4日手取川簡易グランドで行われたマテリアルサイエンス研究科対抗ソフトボール大会に出場しました。研究室みんなの力を合わせ、見事3位になることが出来ました。とても楽しく、有意義な時間が過ごせ、この大会を通じてさらに研究室の団結力が向上しました。

Different people , different thinking , different countries and still playing together and standing as one big family and emerging out as winners .The game was very exciting and we enjoyed alot with each other.Looking forward to play again and be a champion.

The paper on the new aromatic bio-derived polymer from phenyllactic acid biomonomer which is really produced by fermentation has been published. This research was done under the collaboration with a biologist Prof. Takaya.

The paper on cyanobacterium original to PhuTho Vietnam was published in J Appl Phycol. Prof. K. Ohki found a new cultivation method under a collaborative work of us and Prof. Hang Tran Thi. It was pretty difficult but Prof. K. Ohki has God-hands to cultivate every microalgae and make successful. Awesome!

University office suddenly send us the patent certificate in Japan. This is very old researches which were done three years before. But it was a good news the collaborator is a first-year student of Kaneko lab.

Kaneko visited Deajeon to make a lecture at KAIST. A researcher, Shin Hojoon (picture) made a role of good translator. I recognized that a number of brains of Korean scientists are gathered in KAIST. So cool!
