Thoughts of Tokyo by Chris...

We arrived in Tokyo yesterday on Nozomi 176. Soon afterwards, we head to our hotel, Keikyu Ex Inn (Shinagawa Goos), to drop out stuff off, then head to Shinagawa Prince Hotel for some dinner and a night of bowling.

Today, we went to Meiji Shrine, Shibuya/Harajuku/Omotesando area, and then to Ueno. All of the ones except the shrine were places where we bought a lot of stuff. We then headed back to the hotel and again went to the Prince Hotel and had dinner there as well as another round of bowling.

Tomorrow, on our last day, we plan to head to Akihabara for more shopping. After, we head home!

Tyler Chow's reflections on Kyoto...

Today, we went to Nishi Hongwanji and Soai school. At Nishi Hongwanji, we
learned that Japanese samurais would put scary furniture in their houses to scare or intimidate their guests and deter them from doing anything inappropriate. We actually went to Nishi Hongwanji yesterday at like 5:30 am for their morning service everybody was super tired. Soai school was very weird because there was only girls there and there were no boys. We played dodgeball, ate lunch there, and explored the school. I can’t believe we leave Japan in like three days. It’s going to be weird to transfer from being used to paying in Yen back to USD. Our train ride today was longer than usual it was a bit longer than two hours. The Shinkansen is super fast and the ride was actually pretty smooth and fast. Japan is a great place but i think i like America better.
