LIXON Education, created by the owners of BIG BOW English Lab in Nagoya, was founded with the purpose of supporting independent schools and EFL teachers. Currently, our main project is LIXON Library, an online library management system as well as presentations on extensive reading libraries in schools and reading motivation.

2024 ER Summer Seminar - Effectiveness of Various Methods for ER Motivation on Children (Lesley Ito) 25/11/2024

Lesley is excited to announce that LIXON Library will have a table at the Chubu ETJ conventions in Nagoya on January 26th. There will also be a presentation on LIXON Library, offering practical tips on how to start or maintain your school's library.

We had a great workshop on Zoom for LIXON Library yesterday. Lesley Ito pointed out the differences between extensive reading programs in universities or jukus vs. eikaiwa schools, as well as how shared reading activities can make students interested in reading on their own. The main point was that you can't motivate a student to read, but you can create an environment where students are more likely to be motivated to read, and a system where checking out books is fun plays a large role in that.
