Dear Friends,
Please meet the other Under-Secretary-General for Public Relations of the first Nagoya University Model United Nations Conference 2017 – Alexia Fabiani.
Her introduction for you:
Dear everyone,
My name is Alexia Fabiani and now you can put a face on the person who is spamming you every day! I really hope you will not hate me by the end of the conference.
I am a G30 student in Physics, Science. I am Italian but I used to live in France before moving to Japan. You might wonder what is a natural sciences student doing in such an event. Well scientists actually need the skills required for a MUN such as communication and analysis skills... It represents a training opportunity but also broadens one's mind to world's problems that concern everyone, and that our generation has the power to solve.
This will be my second MUN conference but my first time being behind the scenes as a member of the Organizing Committee. I feel very honored to be part of that incredible team, composed of extraordinary people, as one of the Public Relations Manager. I will also represent Greenland during the conference in the General Assembly.
I hope that you will enjoy the conference as much as we enjoyed organizing it.
Do your best, your time is about to begin.
Yours in earnest,
Alexia Fabiani

Dear Friends,
Please meet the Under-Secretary-General for Delegate Affairs of the first Nagoya University Model United Nations Conference 2017 – Inging Sitthiphong Phanthalangsy.
His introduction for you:
Hi I am Sitthiphong Phanthalangsy, a Masters student from the Lao PDR. I’m currently enrolled in the Graduate School of International Development majoring in social and cultural development.
For the majority of my life I have lived in an international environment since I went to an international school for my secondary education.
For my undergraduate studies I have studied international business at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Sydney is known as one of the most multicultural cities.
This international background has led me to the organizing of MUN. The main reason for this would be that MUN is one of the events that are not only expected to be an international event but also encourage participants from all over the globe with different interests and perspectives. This is even more pronounced in Japan since it is rare for such an international event to occur. Whether you love or hate global affairs, it is undeniable to say that global affairs influence all of us one way or another and the MUN is a good opportunity to be a simulation where you can engage and debate on major current global affairs.
If there is anything to share with the MUN, I would say to simply follow your prospect. All participants join the MUN with their own agenda and prospect and some tend to forget that. Hence, just keep reminding yourself why you joined the MUN in the first place and pursue your goals.
Best regards,
Inging Sitthiphong Phanthalangsy

Words alone can not describe the best feeling I have while working with these amazing people from different disciplines in the NUMUN committee. I must admit that the journey, thus far, has not only contributed to my personal growth but also given me the opportunity to learn from the others when it comes to working as a team in which each member hold different nationalities but feel united by the dream we share. I strongly hope that the first MUN to be held in Nagoya University will serve the participant best as the pathway to their future academic and professional success.
