2026年Reading Contestについてのお知らせ
ポテトクラブ絵本『In Summer』を言ってみよう！

５月にお渡し致しました『In Summer』を覚えた、または、読める生徒さんはポテトクラブリーディングコンテストに参加してみませんか？
最優秀賞者＆優秀者には、記念品と賞状が贈られます。
Ron先生の練習動画をポテトクラブ公式Lineからおくります。
練習の仕方：　毎日、口まねしながら聞いて下さい。何度も聞いて覚えてしまいましょう。
最初は、上手に言えなくても大丈夫です。徐々に先生の声について言えるようになってきます。
また、入会して間もない場合は、はっきりと言えないかもしれませんが、まずは全体のリズムやイントネーションを大切にして下さい。経験を積むごとにはっきりと言えるようになっていきます。諦めず、とにかく毎日音声を観て聞いて口まねをしてみましょう。

参加対象者： 幼児〜小学生5級合格レベルまで
参加方法：動画または音声を公式LINE
または、[email protected]
に送ってください。
参加費：５００円

審査項目：​1. Flow（すらすら読めているか）
​​2. Pronunciation（発音や音の高低や強弱など）
​​3. Expression (表現力)
　　　　　　　 4. Attitude（たのしんでいるか）
締め切り日2026年９月３０日
※ 結果は、2026年11月末頃発表いたします。

参加希望者は、申込書提出後、９月３０日当日までに動画または、音声をお送りください。
尚、参加費は９月末までに引き落とし（９月１５日・９月分にて）またはお支払よろしくお願い申し上げます。

梅雨 (Tsuyu) – Japan’s Rainy

Season
梅雨 (つゆ / Tsuyu) is the rainy season in Japan.

It usually happens from June to July. During this time, it rains a lot and the air becomes very humid (じめじめ).

People often:

carry an umbrella ☂️

wear rain boots

dry clothes inside the house

watch the weather forecast every day

Even though it rains a lot,

hydrangea flowers (あじさい)

become very beautiful during 梅雨!

この表現は、昔の狩猟犬（ハンティングドッグ）から来ています。
犬はリスなどの動物を追いかけ、動物が木に登ると、その木に向かって吠えていました。
でも実際には、動物がすでに別の木へ移動していることもありました。
その場合、犬は 間違った木に向かって吠えている ことになります。
そこから、
「見当違いをしている」
「間違った人を疑っている」
という意味になりました。
例：
If you think I broke the vase, you’re barking up the wrong tree.
（私が花瓶を壊したと思っているなら、それは見当違いだよ。）
