名古屋・長久手エリアのインターナショナルスクール、Discovery International Schoolでは、毎年こどもの日（Children’s Day）に合わせて、子どもたちがオリジナルのこいのぼり制作に取り組んでいます。色とりどりにペイントされた鯉のぼりは、それぞれの個性と創造力があふれる作品ばかりです。
今年はあいにくの天候により屋外に飾ることはできませんでしたが、教室内に飾られた作品はとても華やかで、スクール全体が明るく楽しい雰囲気に包まれました。日本文化を大切にしながら、子どもたちの表現力やアートスキルを育てる貴重な機会となっています。

At Discovery International School in the Nagakute and Nagoya area, we celebrate Children’s Day in Japan each year by inviting our students to create their own original koinobori carp flags. These colorful, hand-painted creations showcase each child’s creativity and individuality.
Although the weather didn’t allow us to display the koinobori outside this year, the beautifully decorated flags brightened our classrooms and created a festive, joyful atmosphere throughout the school. This activity is a wonderful way for students to connect with Japanese culture while developing their artistic expression.
