To all of the mothers out there, and to the women and fathers who support our beloved mothers, thank you and happy Mother's Day. We appreciate your Christlike love and support from the bottom of our hearts.

Do you know the story of the sea being split in two? A long time ago, God's people were cornered. The sea in front of them, the enemy army behind. Just when they thought that hope was lost, God prepared a way for them.

Have you ever felt like hope is lost? Have you ever felt stuck, not knowing how to move forward or where to go?

No matter what situation you're in, God has a path prepared for you. Especially during difficult times, let's look for the blessings and guidance that await us.

For 7 years in Japan, I drove the same roads. Same turns. Same routines. I passed churches almost daily… and never thought twice about them.

I grew up Roman Catholic, when I was old enough I walked away believing there was no God. The Trinity never made sense to me, and after going through trial after trial in life, it felt easier to believe no one was there at all.

And then something happened.

About a year ago, I started noticing churches. Not just noticing them… they stood out. Like they were brighter, taller, almost… inviting. I brushed it off. Told myself it was weird and kept going.

But the feeling didn’t go away.

One night driving home, I passed a church that was completely lit up, and the feeling hit me so strongly. It felt like it was calling to me. I remember thinking, why do I feel like this?

When I got home, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. So I looked it up on Google Maps. It was The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Again I just ignored my feeling. But I couldn’t get it out of my head.

A few days later, I saw an ad for a free copy of the Book of Mormon. And of course… it was from that church.

So I called.

They asked if they could come by and share a lesson. I was nervous. I didn’t know what to expect or if it was a good idea… but I said yes anyways.

And I’m so so glad I did.

We had a few lessons, and something just clicked. It felt peaceful. It felt right. The more we talked about the Godhead, the more it made sense in a way nothing ever had before.

For the first time, I didn’t feel confused about God. I felt like I was finally understanding Him.

Not long after, I made the decision to be baptized. And it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Because it didn’t just change me, my husband and my children chose to be baptized too.

Looking back, I don’t believe those moments were random. I believe God was reaching for me long before I was ready to reach back.

And I’m so grateful He never stopped. ❤️
