The First Job Hunting: What is a Resume?
 A resume is a document in which important information related to the kind of job you want to apply for is smartly summarized. The kind of information you are supposed to put in a resume ranges from personal details like the your name, residential and contact addresses, to more basic information regarding your educational background, employment history, qualifications, as well as the reasons for applying for a specific job position, hobbies, and special skills.

The resume can be divided into five main sections:
 (i) Personal Information.
(ii) Educational Background and Employment History.
(iii) Licenses and Qualifications.
(iv) Reasons for applying for the job and Marital status.
(v) Candidate demands.

A resume is a document through which employers decide whether or not it is worth meeting you for a face-to-face interview. If the company recruiters agrees on meeting you for an interview, the preparation behind it will take approximately an hour of their time. To put it bluntly, they are sparing time that they could use for other tasks just for you. In business, time is a valuable and precious resource, and the higher the position of a businessman within the company is, the more that person is likely to despise the idea of wasting time. In order not to make the company feel like you are wasting its time, be careful when you write your resume by avoiding mistakes and writing it meticulously. It is also recommended to ask a Japanese friend of yours to check your resume out and correct possible mistakes.
