Color Mixing Experiment 🧪

Primary colors are Red, Yellow and Blue. They cannot be made from other colors. When we mix two primary colors we get a secondary color.

The secondary color is the color that is in-between the two primary colors. Secondary colors are Orange , Green , Violet.

How do mountains form and why are they important in our eco system ?

Mountains are the world’s “water towers,” providing 60-80% of all freshwater resources for our planet. At least half of the world’s population depends on mountain ecosystem services to survive – not only water but also food and clean energy.

Setsubun!! The kids had a wonderful time decorating their “Oni” monster mask today and had a chance to throw beans at the monster !

Setsubun is a traditional bean-throwing event held at shrines and temples across Japan. It marks the end of winter. First held for the common people at Sensoji Temple, this large event was memorialized in a legendary old guide to the famous places in Edo.

Christmas potluck and crafts ! What a wonderful day it was ! Christmas tree ornament photo frames !

Today I’m shooting stars the students made a Christmas tree glass mural! First and foremost, canvas offers a unique texture that adds depth and dimension to the paint. The weave of the canvas creates a unique surface that interacts with the paint in a way that no other material can match.

Today we learned about the four layers of the Rainforest ! Most rainforests are structured in four layers: emergent, canopy, understory and forest floor. Each layer has unique characteristics based on differing levels of water, sunlight and air circulation.

We are coming to an end of learning all about Brazil this week in shooting stars . Today is all about the Amazon rainforest ! Did you know that the king of the Amazon rainforest is the Jaguar !

These 2 weeks have been a fun fueled week, as Shooting stars has been learning about Brazil! Did you know that Brazil is the 5th largest country in the world . Brazil is home to the Amazon , the world’s largest jungle. They are also the largest exporter of Coffee , soybeans and beef. Every year Brazil has a big party that last 7 days and it’s called “Carnival”.
